Moonriser mostly woke up and worked when the moon was in the sky, living a nocturnal schedule he otherwise would have had. The last time he had ever been out on the streets, he had struck a narrow victory, and a narrow escape. The howling fool that had been Blue nearly cost him everything, but with him out of the picture for good.. it brought him extra pleasure to know he had gotten him back for it. He was still free to keep working, keeping a more careful eye on the places that remained, now that the bakery had been compromised. And with it, he had also heard.. very interesting rumors, but it wasn't just the rumors that drove him to do what he did. No, he still had the matter of the mysterious zebra to look into, too, which meant he needed an expert. Moon sent out a letter of sorts for just such a pony and waited for him- hopefully this pony was as good as he hoped.
Hivaan Ironwing was well... not very subtle by any means. How would a large pony be subtle anyways! Not too long ago he received the most interesting of letters. Somepony wanted to hire him.... Somepony in this almost disturbingly beautiful place... This ~
Utopia (he grimaced at the thought) like place when compared to the fringe regions of the world was just so.. boring. How fascinating somepony wanted his services! It was quite worth looking in to. Thus here he was in Canterlot seeking out his potential employer. He came to a stop outside of a rather nondescript building. "
Curiouser and Curiouser' cried the filly; For she was so surprised she forgot proper Equestrian...." he rumbled thoughtfully through the mask. With nopony else around at this time of night the only sound was the wheezing 'breaths' of the respirator...Thus he made for the door and slipped inside.
Suigyoku was a curious pony. Olive fur and a golden mane. On their hip was a cutiemark of an emerald shard surrounded by fire. They traveled oft times to find rare and shiny rocks to use in their glass. The Changeling in disguise was anything but normal. Due to their reversed fangs they had a garbled speech, hardly able to rumble through the complicated sounds of Equestrian. But that was okay, because he got by. He wore the visage of a Pony that had gone missing long ago in Manehatten. Nopony knew what really happened to them, but the form was a 'gift' of sorts that allowed the rat to travel far and wide. Currently he traveled far to the streets of Canterlot. Black hooves scraped along, the Changeling exhausted. It hadn't had any food in a while and for a Changeling that food wasn't easy to come by, but they were assured of the friendly and loving nature of Equestrian ponies nearest the Capital! Bright eyes blinked as they came upon the bakery.
Suigyoku wasn't sure if they should go in...with their strength waning and having lost his writing board on the ferry the olive-furred pony was spit out of luck! He could lose his disguise any moment, but he was more worried about losing his mind. Hunger did terrible things to a Changeling, especially one that had been so far from his hive for as long as he was! His egg had been smuggled into Manehatten, going from hoof to hoof of underworld scum who sought to use his 'skills', but because he was so badly cared for those skills were inept magic and crooked flying. He was very good at one thing though -- getting in and out. They had heard from their owner that there were many nice ponies here, some his friends and that he should lend them his help, but where could he look? Well -- food first! With a skip in his step the 'earth pony' went to the front counter. "M...mrik tah.... pleeee." It was hard without his writing board!
Moonriser was a patient stallion. He could wait as long as he needed for what he wanted, whether it was for a plan to come to fruition or.. in this case, a pony to arrive. His patience was oft rewarded, as it was now. That tinkle of the bell above the doorway told him somepony had entered, and a quick glance showed him.. Ah. They were quite a tall pony. Not from around here, either, from the look of him in that cloak and mask. This was the one he sent for, yes? Moon beckoned from the stairs before withdrawing to the upper floor with its seats- the cafe was probably not the most covert place for a meeting, but it did the trick. If he could trust this pony to hire him on, the next place they talked would be his office. If not, he would simply find another. Moon seated himself at one of the corner tables, leaning his elbows on the table and putting the tips of his white forehooves together, peering over them. Surely by the time the pony came, he heard another tinkle of the bell, but he ignored it for now.
Hivaan Ironwing turned his head as he noticed movement from the corner of an eye. His wings shifted under the cloak and silently the pony turned and headed towards the stairs. It seemed... this was the pony that might soon become his employer! How.. invigorating! Perhaps he might get to do something fun... His hoof-steps were somewhat heavy due to the weight of his armor and his size. He emerged into the upper seating area of the cafe and his gaze zeroed in upon the pony now sitting at a table. Hivaan moved to stand on the other side of the table and focused his glowing emerald gaze upon the pony. "You were the one that sent the letter?" Right to business! The jingle of the door down on the lower level caused an ear to flick but he kept his gaze upon the pony before him.
Suigyoku struggled to make his order. Eventually he just gave up and pointed to some peach buns. After getting his food he would proceed to climb the steps. Maybe if he could leech off some ponies he could bring his energy back up. He did not need to directly feed off them... over his time without his hive the oppressed changeling had learned to quietly siphon energy. But he had to find distracted ponies. After all a rat knew how to get cheese... Moving upstairs he would find an empty table. Setting down the peach buns he would lower his head to eat. He was no native, but he didn't seem out of place either. Just a customer, munching on a bun. But was there perhaps a strong emotion nearby he could siphon, just a little?
Moonriser watched the tall pony's approach, marveling at his size. Would he be too big for any sort of stealth work? Perhaps, from the sound his hooves made, but he had to see if he was any good.. His red eyes peered over his hooves, though he had to shift them up to meet the stranger's green ones. A smile quirked one corner of his mouth at the question. "Indeed I am." Moon purred. "I was hoping I could find somepony who could get their hooves on some other ponies for me. There is only one of them that I actually have a description on, I'm afraid, who I will have to focus on for right now, pest that he is.. At least until I hear about the other." Moon paused, an ear flicking, movement drawing his eye. It was quite late for another pony to be here, but they might be too focused on their meal to care. Hrm. Considering something, he turned back to the large stallion and his odd mask. "How
good are you at your job?"
Hivaan Ironwing didn't visibly make an expression but the vague crinkling around the eyes suggested that he might have smiled. "I had one of the highest success tallies in my old guild!" He was being rather intentionally vague since there was another pony nearby. "So you want me to figure out where this pony is... and bring them to you. I'm sure I could do that." he rumbled and propped his head up on a hoof as he sat. Stars... a locate and detain job... how quaint. Alas the roses can't always be painted red and merry. One had to do the grunt jobs from time to time ~ Ergo work is work. "Six hundred bits..." he rumbled.
Suigyoku was a little frustrated they couldn't get milk tea. He wondered where he dropped his writing board. Was it on the ferry? On the way on? On the way off. He felt like he wanted to cry, but big rats didn't cry. Munching his peach buns he would distance himself. The conversation was of no importance to him, but instead the thought of siphoning a bit of their emotions. Just something happy... Something warm. Rat liked those best. he looked down to the half-eaten peach bun. It didn't taste happen. Maybe tea would be nice to wash it down with. "Au mah's uop." He murmured as he bit into it again. These two didn't seem to have any happy emotion, and the weird pony hanging in the back with what looked to be ten cups of coffee piled in front of him -- was rally grumpy. Waah he was tired. He would suddenly faceplant the table.
Queen Chrysalis was out ad about today. With Cadence and Shining gone back to the Empire she thought it safe to return. She and Luna had more talks to do but it seemed she was out of town for the time. She got looks and sneers as she walked about. A few places even locked there doors when she went to enter there show. Not being in her Alicorn form was proving upsetting for the Queen. But she pressed on. She sensed another about but it was faint. She trotted into Tealove's. Luna had talked about it a lot in letters. The pony at the door was rude but the owner came out and seemed nicer. She ordered some tea and took it trotting up to the seating area. In her full changeling queen form for all ponies there to see. Sitting at a table in the back she pulled some bright green candy from her bag and dropped a few into the tea. She sipped it softly as it hovered in her neon green aura and twitched her ears at the sounds around her..
Moonriser finally put his hooves down on the table, crossing them as a smile flitted across his face. "Wonderful. They have made themselves known to me as a thorn in my side already. If you work out well enough on this, no doubt I can use you for much more.." The unicorn answered, his horn lighting in that strange, flame-like aura and he brought out his bag of money. He brought enough, knowing how these types always charged a lot; it was good that he was rich. A pony couldn't live in Canterlot if they weren't rich. He slid the bag across the table, lowering his voice. "Shall we discuss details?" He queried and his gaze jerked over at the pony who had been eating on buns, who'd dropped their head to the table. Confusion laced his emotions for a moment, but he guessed they were just.. passed out? He was about to look away before.. ah.. a particularly tall changeling entered- he'd been too focused on his business to have heard the bell tinkling downstairs. His red eyes followed her progress trying to hide his expression of utter shock. It was a changeling, and a very big one, too! He had never seen the queen for himself, so he had no idea this one was she; but he had seen changelings. He lived in Canterlot, how could he not have? What was one doing here in a blasted teashop, out in- well, not broad daylight considering it was night, but, still!
Hivaan Ironwing let out a rumbling laugh. That was so easy! There wasn't even any haggling! He supposed that dealing with ponies around here might be a tad bit easier. "Of course.... I look forward to perhaps working with you." he grinned wide under the mask... Perhaps things would get more entertaining for the ashen pony! "Of course... " he replied in response to the query about details, however his attention was stolen away for at least the time being as a particularly large changeling strode through the doors. "By Celestia's...." he drifted off with an arching eyebrow. What was the changeling queen doing here? However he was on business even if this place was starting to seemed to not be the place to speak of such plans. Then there was the other pony... a peculiar character indeed. This coming from a respirator mask wearing pony! Hah!
Suigyoku was all alone, as it were. Being raised disjunctioned from a hive of any kind did not make him very sharp witted. Trained improperly, fed an improper diet were contributing factors to his green carapace, and maligned fangs. His speech was slurred, disjointed. He had to learn to siphon energy from excess ponies had, but it wasn't always good. Annoyance, anger and other such emotions weren't as filling so the patron of the changeling species was a bit thin, nearly starved. In his pony form he looked as green as the day he was born, a golden mane that was a bit dry and probably not shampooed. He was a bit small, but that suited somepony who was a glass blower. Ooh was that confusion? Tasty but -- not enough to fill his tummy. Great. A strange object clattered beside him. It was round -- shiny. The kleptomanic changeling absentmindedly picked it up and shoved it in his left nostril. He looked over as he held his smooshed peach bun in hoof.
Suigyoku had a bit of smutz of the bun on his face from when he forehead bonked it, but he couldn't be bothered with that. The other ponies seemed to panic and while a good bit of excess emotion it just -- anxiousness? The olive-furred earth pony slowly turned his head. In the back the gray, no-name pone was knocked out from a caffeine crash. There, no lo, before him a massive changeling. His father said they would come for him one day. Come to take him back to their hive and turn him into a mindless puppet without freewill! Of course those who hatched Shard had the sense to tell him things to convince him they did what was best for him. And being the sweet, unassuming lad -- Shard took heed to his father's words. A sudden, shrill scream came from the half-mute insect-in-disguise. "Auh munfer!" Well... Rat be nimble, rat be quick, rat no jump over the candle stick. He tried to take off running but tangled in his own hooves and made friends with the floor and rolled into the wall after.
Queen Chrysalis turns to look at the shocked Unicorn and his shifty companion. "Gawking at a Queen is very undignified." she stated plainly to them. She'd take another sip of the love infused tea. "I have just as much right to wonder about as anypony else." she said flatly. No pony in the public knew about the peace talks as of now. Save from a few guards and letters from Luna to not bother the Queen or other changelings unless they where harming anypony that is. She smiles to the darker pony. "NO NO I am not Celestia." she said teasingly. "My name is Chrysalis." she eyes glowed a bit as she looked at the pair. "Queen Chrysalissss." her fangs forcing a hiss of the s. " And I was told this place has the best tea in town. I so I had to come and see for myself. "All the sudden the other pony freaked out." There you are. Silly colt." she stated. As he stumbled and tripped. Sadness lased her face and eyes as she looked moved to look down at the Stallion. "You look hungry. Peaches are not enough are they." the Queen mused softly as she knelled by the stallion. "Here let me help. I offer candy to all good foals." she sounded sinister but she was really not being. She had to make it look as if she was hunting this pony so not to blow h
is cover. "Let Queenie help you make it all better." the Stallion would hear as she linked to his mind. "Please do not be afraid I am not here to hurt you. The candy is made of emotion it will help. Ignore my words out loud it is all show to hide your true form." she gave a smile to the stallion and then said. "Yes the candy will help you... " she knelt there looking at him with glowing green eyes..
Moonriser tried to recover himself from seeing the tall changeling, smoothing out his features to that bored, slightly disgruntled look he always wore. Where were the night guard at this hour? Why was she even allowed anywhere near Canterlot? He couldn't agree with that, not in the least, but he wouldn't say anything out loud- so this was.. the queen of the changelings? Bold she was, to return to the place of her defeat. Moon coughed a little, wanting to return to his business, but the green pony's muffled yell and fall still kept his attention. Darn it, he came here to talk! His eyes briefly shifted towards the knocked out pony in the corner before he looked back at Hivaan, an eyebrow arched. Can you believe this?
Hivaan Ironwing had a bit of a twitching eyebrow.... What in the world was going on. "I know very well you are not a princess..." he'd say with a rather chilly tone. "I also know that takes a lot of
gall to dare walk in public in the very city one launches an unprovoked assault upon. Hehe.... The nobles hate that I bet..." he'd say in a tone that was actually rather impressed. However he turned back to Moon and grimaced. "Perhaps discussions had best be postponed." he'd prop his head upon a hoof.
Suigyoku had never heard any voices in his head -- not even his own! Being partially mute he couldn't really talk all that goo--well. So he often just saw words in his head. The candy looked really nice, but taking candy from strangers seemed all too sketchy. His father warned him about ponies like these! Never take candy from strangers kids! His link was shaky, at best. Never forming a bond with his hive meant that anything he would send out were muddled hiccups and anything he received were absolutely terrifying. IN his mind he was just a really broken pony. He wasn't a Changeling. He did not handle hearing a voice in his head well! He grew up like a normal pony so the concept of lady voices in your head were outrageous. Rat's eyes began to tear up. Father was right! She was going to take him away! The others seemed calm, but this was no time to be calm! Run for the hills! Of course Rat was not having good times with his hooves and crashed down the stairs, his peach bun left behind.
Queen Chrysalis paid no mind to the unicorn as the angry rolled off his form. Angry was not her taste it was to spicy for the queen. She however looks up as the dark colored stallion talks. "No, I am not a Princess I am a Queen." she said in reply. "However if you'd like I can be a princess. Pick one." she smiled not moving from her spot. "Do you like Luna?" she asked changing her form to match as the name rolled from her muzzle. "Or maybe Celestia?" she changed again. "Or maybe you just need a little love?" she cooed as she changed to Cadence. "I can be anypony. Anytime. Anywhere. and you will never know." she giggled cutely in the Cadence form as she turned back to her own. "Why do you think I make to perfect hunter?" she asked with a tilt of her head. "I wanted to be myself today. I did not have to be. But I wanted to." she stated with a smile. She blinks softly as the pony takes of using her magic to make a field he was unable to get out of at the base of the steps. "
Please try and calm down child. I am not here to harm you." she cooed in his mind. "
Only a changeling can me mind linked to a queen. Please try and clam down. You are unable to leave where you are other then to return up here. Take a moment to calm yourself." she said softly. "
I will not harm you. You have the word of the Queen on that." she turns to look at the others. "He's not going far." she said with a grin as she moves to sit back at her table and drink her tea. The shield only kept the changeling in but allowed all others to move past it as if it was not there.
Moonriser's eyebrows went up quickly at his new hire, impressed. He had.. - guts, this one, and spoke aloud what he'd only just been thinking. He had a feeling that the two of them were going to get along very well in the future. "Alas, I fear we must." The unicorn said in an undertone on the topic of discussion. "We can talk later at my office, a more.. private place than this. Before the night is out, perhaps." Moon assured, his attention returning to the changeling queen and her panicking.. victim? He couldn't tell what was going on there, but the masked stallion had been right- nobles did not like being attacked. Moon made a bit of a face when the green pony went tumbling down the stairs and.. for a moment his heart stopped. The queen of the changelings, talking of princesses and queens, had just turned into P-Princess Luna! It passed when she cycled through the appearances of Princesses Celestia and Cadance, it was Luna who he had been thrown by. He inhaled quietly, trying to calm himself after that little start. That was a face he did not expect to see tonight, if not ever with the castle closed to him.
Hivaan Ironwing paid the panicking pony only part mind as his attention remained primarily upon the changeling queen as she said her part and her form changed from princess to princess. He could hardly hide the eye roll and the scoff that soon followed. "Perfect hunter? There is no such thing as a 'perfect' hunter. Just give a pony a foe glass and hardly any changelings would be able to hide properly.... Pity those are somewhat difficult to come by." he shook his head and slid to a standing position. "I will be in town for a time. Send me a message whenever you wish to speak again." The ashen pony shook his head and made to head for the stairs while possibly stepping over the fallen one.
Suigyoku freaked out as the voice continued to speak to him. The pony tried to escape but found a magic barrier. The owner of the tea shop was, of course, startled by the panicked pony behind a barrier? he was bashing his hooves on something. "Auh eul bauh! Wun eee Rat!" Curse his floundering speech! "Haup! Haup Rat!" Shuddering terror escaped him, further draining the poor, misguided 'ling of his energy. What sound and sane pony would accept a Changeling, a giant one no less, trying to feed them candy? All the horror stories! Such a method was not to work with the fragile minded pony. he slumped to the floor whimpering. "Papa, papa....munser waun eee Rat." He pulled his hooves over his head. He was losing consciousness, so much energy burned trying to escape the monster. He just came here looking for glass...
Dark Strife roused from his coffee coma. "Listen here you little popsicle..." He blinked and knocked over the tower of cups when his horn bumbled all into them. "Ffffudge, what in Luna's sharp edged horn?" Language captain. He huffed. "What is all this hub-bub, can't a pony sleep?!" He smacked his hoof on the table shaking off his own sleep. Who... in Tartarus were these ponies? the old detective, with greying fur, was not amused. Had he heard conversations afoot? Probably. Did he care? Definitely not. That was none of his business. If it didn't have to do with ponies he cared to chase... Like the one that tried cleaning up his mess's mess. Ugh! With Blue Frosting out of commission he was back to nothing and everyone was riding his cart wheels to the ground. "Stop harassing Tealove's customers!" He accused the queen, not really sure or caring who the guy was that pummeled down the steps. The coal detective was not amused. Tea houses should be peaceful.
Queen Chrysalis grinned softly from her tea. "Ahh so the noble fancies the Princess of the Night does he?" she hissed. She took the form again and moved over to sit near him. She was a perfect match right down to the teal eyes. If you put the two in a room together nopony would know who was the real Luna. She sipped her tea as she watched the stallions face a playful grin danced on her muzzle. She knew Luna may not be happy with her using her form. But there was something going on here that made the Queen uneasy. And she was out to find out what. No matter the form she had to take to do so. She would tell Luna of this when she returned to Canterlot and they had their meeting. She only took the form of one of the Princess now if she felt it would help her get the needed information. And right now she needed to know what this pair was up to. She had seen the large bag of money be moved to the dark stallion. And she knew what ever was going on here was not good by the subject change when she entered.
Queen Chrysalis Her train of thought was interrupted as the dark colored stallion talked then moved to leave "I am unsure what you think you know. BUT I know there is nothing that can give us away yet." she huffed softly and used her hoof to move a pair of the mane that was on the wrong side of her head. The shifted changeling looked back at the cop. "I am not harassing any pony." she stated. Having changed into Luna way before the cop had woke he'd not know and think she was Luna herself! She sighed as the changeling passed out. Using her magic to place a few candies in his muzzle to help him out from the issue. She knew a passed out changeling was easy to feed candy to from when all this same thing happened with Shadling.
Moonriser exhaled slowly through his nostrils, fighting for patience. He had a lot of that, but nothing would get done tonight he feared. Alas. A tea shop was not the best place to set up meetings. He lifted a single hoof to the cloaked male. "Very well. Until another time." He bid, watching the large stallion go. Moon's red gaze turned back to the others as a new voice joined the fray, the old man sleeping behind his fort of empty coffee cups. He looked familiar. Before he could think on it much more, Queen Chrysalis had taken note and turned back into
her again. Princess Luna. He knew who it actually was behind the disguise, but that face sent his heart a-flutter again. Moon tried to hide it behind a disgruntled face, scowling. "Nonsense." He grumped. The pony that had fallen down the stairs was out of his mind now, now that he was out of view- poor fellow had been quite freaked out.
Dark Strife narrowed his eyes. What the hay was Lulu doing here? He stared at the cups of coffee in horror. Faust how many has he had?! He kept his hooves on the table. He felt all jittery, but at the same time he was right near to loosing that double fudge chocolate cake he ate. yes. The whole cake. He needed a lot of sugar to keep this form for longer than a mere hour. Fighting the urge to lose his snack he shakily walked toward the edge of the steps. Pony had fallen and knocked himself out it seems. "Real... smooth princess. I hope you've not been over-consuming sweets that your flank managed to knock a stallion out like that." he bit, as the detective was on informal terms with the princess. He sighed and trotted down the steps, almost slipping, to check on the guy. he smacked him a few times, but out cold. "Why do you give me more work?" He looked back, eyes squinted. Another Luna fancolt? Well....
Dark Strife used his magic to life the unconscious earth pony by his hind leg, dangling the poor thing like a doll. "Princess if you insist on stalking me while I sleep at least call the office. I was out on a coffee run." He fibbed. Now he had to work. "Ugh.. this guy stinks like a sewer... I'm taking him to the healers to rest a bit. You need to come by my office and pick up the files I wrote for you, your grace." He groused. "Let's go smelly." Rattling Rat he would carry him off.
Queen Chrysalis (Fake Luna) smiles at the stallion. "Aww you like Luna do you?" she mused softly to him with a grin so only he was able to hear. She nodded to the cop. "Yes I will as soon as I am able." she spoke as official as Luna herself. Then grumbled as the cop took the changeling to the healer. "Seems I have to visit the healer now." she stated after the cop was gone. She turned back to the noble and smiled softly sipping her tea. "And now back to you dear. What can I help you with this fine night." she held the form only due to the emotions she felt coming from the stallion. "Maybe I can help you in meeting the REAL Luna." she mused.
Moonriser pinned his ears back. He wanted to tell the old stallion that the visage of the lunar deity wasn't the real princess! It wasn't her, it was a changeling! Yet being in the vicinity of.. her, he knew she wasn't the real Luna, made him clam up utterly. He managed to regain his voice only after the old stallion had gone, no doubt with the pony downstairs.. which left him alone in the upper floor of the tea shop with the Queen of the Changelings herself. He was cursing mentally. "Of course not. She is just the princess I look up to." Moon retorted, drawing his crossed hooves a little closer to his chest on the table. He averted his eyes to them, fumbling, not looking up until she made that offer. "No, nothing. Ah.." He huffed. "Can you really do that? I'm baffled that the princesses are in talks with the changeling queen... If you are."
Queen Chrysalis (Fake Luna) gives a smile. "Well I have requested a chat on a pony form I use. There are some really dark things going on. Ponies have killed a whole hive out safe one changeling foal. They used the eggs to experiment on. As if Changelings were toys. And so I am taking it to Luna. I am mostly up at night and so Luna is the only one I can talk to really." she sighed. "But if you want I can talk to her and see if I can set up a meeting between the two of you." she gives him a wink and a smile.
Moonriser took little interest in such topics, usually, he had no love for changelings, but the form that Chrysalis took had him.. a little enraptured. He would have never been this close to the real Princess Luna, and probably never would have. Not for the rest of his days. Yet here they were. He, clever stallion that he was, felt there was a snag to her offer, but his mind was a little jumbled and he couldn't put a hoof on it. "Sounds terrible." Moon commented, most of his attention on the offer still. "I couldn't possibly trouble the changeling queen herself, but were that possible.." If he really got to meet Princess Luna, he wouldn't know what to say! He couldn't very well ask for an autograph like some fanboy.. but he was meant to work under her, darn it! Moon shuffled his hooves. "Surely if you could, I have no desire to be a
bother on
royalty."
Queen Chrysalis(Fake Luna) smiles softly to him moving her hoof under his chin she lifts it and gives him a sweet smile. "Anything for you my dear." she mused softly as she looked at him with Luna's teal eyes. She wanted nothing in return yet. Only to get the stallions trust and she hoped Luna would be up for this. But knowing Luna she may or may not be. "But how will I find you when I set up the meeting for you two? I will be with her to sure you know it is really her come with her. So you can see I am me and she is she." she cooed.
Moonriser's heart almost stopped when Chrysalis, in Luna's form, cupped him under the chin with one hoof. He sincerely hoped he wasn't blushing. His eyes were fooling his brain, too. He just had to keep telling himself that the mare in front of him was Queen Chrysalis, a changeling, not Luna. She had her form and her teal eyes, her flowing mane of glittering silver stars.. Moon pulled away a little and mentally tried to shake himself out of. Goddess! "A letter, perhaps, to my.." He paused as he struggled for a location. Not his home or his work, he didn't want either to be found if he could help it, "to me, I'm sure the mailpony can find me by name. It's Moonriser." It wasn't his birth name, but he had shucked his birth name long ago, so it wasn't a lie. It was as much truth, but he prided himself on being able to lie well regardless.
Queen Chrysalis(Fake Luna) smiles at him. "Is there something wrong dear?" she cooed softly as he pulled away from her. He was blushing but only a bit it seemed. "Oh so moon like Luna's moon in the sky?" she mused. "That sounds like a lovely pair to me Luna and her Moonriser." she cooed to him. "The perfect match." her teal eyes watched him with a softness to them. Living with the snow ponies had showed her how to care for others and that allowed her to mimic emotions even better now. She was able to give that adoring look a pony in love gave. "Her big strong Moonriser." she cooed.
Moonriser made a noncommittal noise in his throat when she spoke to him, no,
cooed at him. Oh it didn't help she could mimic Luna's voice, too! Chrysalis was.. he had to consider it a moment,
utterly evil to be doing this. If his mind was in the right place, it would have been delicious, but it wasn't. He could still marvel at her nerve, and how quickly she struck the point on his name. If she kept this up, he might faint, which was most unbecoming of a crimelord of his caliber. Moon huffed, struggling with himself- sweet nothings in his ear. "I wouldn't know, but as pleasant a conversation this has been, I ought to get going. Busy day tomorrow. Quite a talk this has been, and with Queen Chrysalis herself!" Such minor buttering may or may not have been because of what she was saying as Luna, or perhaps because she had offered to get him close to the real Princess of the Night.. nopony could really tell. Nor him. Moon got up out of his seat and made to leave, lingering just long enough to hear any goodbyes. As was proper before excusing oneself.
Queen Chrysalis (Fake Luna) Stands as he stands also. "Yes I have a pony I need to check on and leave some candy." she gives him a wink. She'd walk out with him still in form. And as they parted give him a playful flick on the muzzle with the tip of her tail. She was off to see a healer about a pony and then to the Inn for the night. As she took to the air and was sure no pony was around her form changed and a buzzing would be heard moving away from the stallion.
