2/14/16; Hearts and Hooves Day

Discord Draconequus: Fillies and Gentlecolts, I implore you to make your way to the fairegrounds for the lively fun and games. The fairgrounds for Hearts and Hooves Day is slowly filling up! Ponies of every size, age, and walk are encouraged to come by and check out the booths! The first event is starting up now!! `join DiscordDraconequus for a fast route down! Discord Draconequus had been by and by warming with hot cocoa, butt on teh cusion watching ponies gather. He wasn't too comfortable in big events because, well he was the king of chaos and his need to cause mreo harm than good was quite strong. Floating over his head remained the box of cake, just -- ignroed for now.

Flashgun was here taking pictures! It was the first time he had come to Ponyville, and the country town already had him run ragged! Last night was a hootnanney,isn't that what country folk called it? But regardless here he was, twelve cups of coffee and three daisy sandwiches later. "whooa, ain't never thunk such a place can be so decked out over such'a faceless ha'liday." His accent croaked.

Tranquil wasn't exactly sure where she was going, but by the looks of the pink and white decorations, she was heading in the right direction. Didn't know what she had signed up for, but had spent a few hours folding origami flowers, another of her less known creative traits. One that served little purpose as far as the mare could tell. Regardless, she held a bouquet of red paper flowers before her with the use of her magic as she settled down on one of the many cushions and glanced around nervously.

Dark Strife was just here to keep an eye out for trouble. He wanted to enter the games but felt... tired. It was hard splitting up between himself. A shadow and his puppet in the same area. He trotted along, keeping alive on cupcakes and coffee until the event was over. He was signed up for the first one, huh? So where was the judge? He was impatient.

Princess Luna had taken the trip to Ponyville for Hearts and Hooves day, despite her trepidation. She wasn't sure if she'd still get recognized- some of Ponyville had seen her after her defeat- but yet.. It'd been a while. The little town was appropriately decorated, and she'd found the heart of it with many ponies milling about; some of them familiar faces. Luna took a steadying breath and approached; she had to make a friend, or else Discord wouldn't remove the rest of his spell.

Fluttershi wandered about after parting ways with Discord for a moment so she could freshen up a bit. She let out a yawn as she was mostly tired from all the stuff she did already and then she stumbled across Angel in the snow pile. She sighed and poked him with a hoof as he jumped up and sneezed. She giggled and took him as he climbed back on her head, "...o-oh how...did you wind up...in the snow...thought you went...to sleep...but not in the snow..." She said as she walked up to the cusions and sat down; cozing up on them.

Azure Rain had naturally followed Luna to the Ponyville festivities being her scribe and all and looked around curiously, usually not one to venture away from Canterlot much her armored robes now reinforced with a nice warm scarf and bootsies.

Discord Draconequus: There are many events to enjoy and many booths set up for locals to sell their local specialties, or even kisses! It appears the Smooze even has a booth set up for kisses. His bits are going to be going to charity! There is a hot cocoa booth, half off for foals! Home made chocolates courtesy of the Cupcakes, and a local group of foals are showing off their snow scuplting skills! The first event is for the adults! Names of signed up contests will be brought forth via dice roll~! A few lucky ladies will be going out with a lucky stallion! But the ladies first have to take a pick of the litter! (What do you mean the judge is late? You had one job. Fine, stalling). Uuh now a word from our sponsor!

Discord Draconequus quiet snickering. he sipped his cocoa. It didn't take long for him to spot the miniturized, transformed princess. Ah with Azure sticking to her -- she'll stand out. He looked over when Flutter returned. "Oh, did you find Angel?" Internal cackling commence! He kept his paw and claw warm while they waited. He was already greatly amused. The spirit was calmly seated on a cushion, but inside he was frated and rattled with chaotic cheer. Maybe a love day was -- fun!

Flashgun sat back taking pictures of the event. His senior reporter went off to get chocolates leaving him alone. "Eeey..everytime --" He complained as he sat behind his camera. The sandy male really felt the energy here. He never seen so many wild looking ponies before. Click -- flash! He'd have a lot of nice shots!

Fluttershi nods with a smile, "...oh, yes...y-yes I did...he was taking a snow nap it seemed...I-I never knew he liked the snow that much..." She said in reply to Discord, before she walked over to a familiar face, "...o-oh hello...there...Tranquil...are you enjoying the day today...? Such...a...ni-nice day for it..." She said warmly.

Dark Strife hated days like this. Why did he have to decide it was a funny idea to split up? He had bad ideas sometimes. He's already gone through his cupcakes so decided to buy a bag of chocolate. Anything to keep him awake. Where in the blue blazes was that guy? he was supposed to start the event. The Detective did not look like anyone really important. he just settled in the background. He was grey, boring and looked as if he had an itch he couldn't scratch.

Tranquil tried her best to ignore the cameraman, looking away whenever the camera seemed to click her way. She didn't need to be published in the paper, had enough ponies staring at her awkwardly when she walked through the streets as it was! Flutter offered a brief distraction, enough for her to relax slightly where she rested. "I may have made a mistake signing up for this, I wasn't expecting so many ponies to be here." She'd chuckle nervously. "But yes... it is a nice day."

Princess Luna felt a little better once she was among the others, and she at least had Azure still following close behind. There were flashes from nearby that told her there was a pony there with a camera. She didn't have any reason to worry about them; she was more focused on the others. Like Discord and Fluttershy. Luna glanced at Azure, gesturing with a little nod of her head, before she wandered over to the pair- though Fluttershy seemed to be talking to Tranquil. Trio, then! "Greetings, how are you enjoying the festivities?"

Baokros having woken up at the orphanage, by the cheerful inhabitants and fellow colts who were all too happy for the festivities. Ounce again he had to fake a smile, a grin, for show, to show that they were happy ponies. But there was only one feeling, fear and jealousy. As he was given permission to head out towards the Festival, he felt a bit of disgust mixed with fear on the pit of his stomach. "I don't want this." Bao thought as he headed out. "I don't want to help power the Crystal Heart, I am not a Crystal Pony." Now he spoke out loud, which brought the attention of the caretaker.

Fluttershi bows her head to Luna, "...o-oh hello, Princess...such a pleasant night, isn't it?" She asked, before turning back to Tranquil and blushing, "...y-yeah...s-so many ponies out and about...k-kind of nervous...especially...with...th-the um...w-well never mind that now..." She then reached out and offered Luna a wrapped up can shaped present that would spurt out snakes when opened. She promised she would help...Discord...and um...try a bit of mischief of her own...she smiled, "...h-here this is for you..."

Azure Rain followed the princess as she gestured to the three ponies, seeing who it were she cast her eyes down yet kept smiling, her tail giving a tiny flick as she stayed at Luna's side. "Hello Tranquil, Fluttershy and Dissy." then sat down and scuffed a hoof.

Plot NPC would make his way to the front of the crowd. It was that same pony from the Winter Hearth Festival, that Discord had been pushing around. He seemed a bit more fit than before, though being pushed around by the god of chaos got you moving fast, even still the green-maned unicorn was as spiteful as ever. His cape lay over his back, concealing his cutiemark. He hovered a collection of papers in front of him. "You no I can't read the boss' writing. He writes like a three-year-old foal." He lamented in a board voice. "Our first event is the Dating Game. A mare is tasked to select her date for the evening by anonymously choosing a stallion from behind a curtain. Three choices, one change. Do try not to make a horrible pick. You have four questions to ask to each contestant and than must choose. First contestant up -- is Fluttershy. Please step up."

Discord Draconequus blinked and levitated his drinking cup, clapping his paw and claw together. "Well well, ladies it seems you made it! And here I was worried you'd not arrive in time." he floated off the cushions and turned to face Nessie, who looked as dead as ever! It amused him greatly to see the stallion a broken shell of sorrow, only because twas not he who caused it! he was naturally just a gloomy gus! He took a sip from his hot cocoa.

Fluttershi freezes and shivers, "...u-um...wait...di-did...I really sign up for this...?" She asked nervously, before stepping foreward, "...u-um okay then....w-what do I have to do now...just ask a question? W-well...um...I sup[pose...d-do you like animals...um magical curtain stallion...?"

Princess Cadence arrives with Asho in the crystal empire chariot. A smile was gave as she hops down and helps her son from it also. She was mostly her for show and was to sit and all but look pretty for the crowd she looks to Asho " You are welcome to run around and have fun.. If you need me I will be sitting near by. " she puts some bits on the counter of a near by stand and lifts to hot cocoas one for herself and one for the foal " Here is some bits for you to spend on games and items here at the fair " she lifts 50 bits for her change bag for the foal after he'd take them she'd warp her wing around him loveingly for a hug and nuzzle and then move over to find her seat..

Azure Rain smiled at Tranquil and muttered. "I can't stay, I merely escorted Princess Luna here and need to return to the palace." then gave the kirin a hearthy nuzzle, before threating Fluttershy, Dissy and Luna to the same. "You all enjoy now, I'll be in my chambers later."

Fluttershi blinks, "...o-oh...um curtain 3...?"

Flashgun continued to look through his camera lense. The photographer has never seen so many ponies in one place. It only got this lively in Manehatten during the park plays, and that had died down for years til recently. "Neat." He took a shot, but something else would come to his attention behind his telescopic lense. W-was that? He turned the camera slowly toward the arriving chariot. Click, flash.

Tranquil offered a kind smile towards Azure, catching the unicorn in a one forelegged hug before letting her leave. "Take care, alright?" She'd turn to nod softly to Luna. "It's always a pleasure to see you again." Then turned to watch the activity up front.

Dark Strife settled down nearby with his back of chocolate levitated by his horn. He watched as the crowd not only grew -- but it seemed a royla charoit was arriving? Now he does not recall getting news about that. Was he keeping secrets from himself? Probably. He ate away the confectionary sweets and watched on. Fluttershy looked like she was about to pop a gasket.

Bygone Specter hopped out only to face-plant and scramble up again. The attention he got caused the little changeling in disguis to turn rather red. Needless to say the sheer amount of ponies caused him to get nervous, though. But then... Aha! Mister Strife! The foal bounced off and would make every attempt to hop up on the dark pony's back. "Hiya Mister Strife!" The dark pony seemed to be trying to be inconspicuos... which is where the foal wanted to be for the moment. He was so not used to being watched.

Princess Luna looked pleased at the sight of the strange can-shaped present offered to her by Fluttershy. She took it with her magic, turning briefly to say her farewells to Azure. "I am disappointed to hear you are leaving so soon! I hope you enjoy the festivities at Canterlot, please have fun." Luna bid the scribe, and spied the descending chariot. Princess Cadance had arrived, with By too- though she didn't know his new name. She'd go over and say her hello, but first, she turned towards Tranquil with a smile and then focused on Fluttershy. She was up.

Azure Rain trotted to the station and boarded the train back to Canterlot, maybe there were some festivities there after work to go to or maybe she would visit somepony, then left out of sight.

Plot NPC rolled his red eyes, feeling the vomit in teh back of his throat. "right." His horn glowed softly. Now seeing as hiding the contestents would only give them away and any others hiding in the shadows, telepathy was used to keep in contact with them and get said answered. The black-furred Unicorn seemed highly unsatisfied by the answer, because he had to repeast it. "Sure do! I like all sorts a' animals! Big ones, lil ones, but there aren't many animals back home! I guess you can say I'm just a long-distance enthusiast!" That hurt to repeast. "Miss Shy... do you wish to move on, or ask the same question to another contestant?" He glwoered at this whole thing. It was stupid. Why did he have to organize a party of love? Lave made him itch! He reached up his back hoof and scratched at his belly.

Discord Draconequus was tickled, waving farewell to Azure. "Oooh what's that you have there Lulu~? Did you get that from a -- friend?" he teased before lookign to Tranquil. "You've been scarce. Where have you been?" he munched on teh cup his hot cocoa was served in. Tasty pattern! The spirit awas a msot elegant troll, for no one knew who hosted the festivities. While Nessie was a front pony for the whole escapade -- Discord was the mastermind. Nessie was his hooves while Discord sat on his paw and claw! Ho ho! Delightful! One did not need to know much about love to throw a party!

Fluttershi nods, "...o-oh...yes...move on will be lovely..." She replied as he fur turned scarlet and she shuffled her hooves beneath her and wishes she could just hide beneath all those cozy looking pillows and hibernate like her animal friends for a couple months longer.

Princess Cadence eeps as Asho falls from the chariot she dies her best to use her wings to keep others from seeing the mishap. As he bounds off she slids the bits on his new coat pocket and walks over to greet Luna " Oh my Luna you are up early today " she smiles as she watching Asho and the cop from a few days ago " He ordered that outfit I think it looks well on him " she states " Also I am sorry for the trouble the other day with Az.. I just wanted to be sure he was safe that's all."

Plot NPC pressed his hoof to his face. He was exempt from the PO rule, being judge. He rubbed hsi face. "Than, Miss Shy, please ask the next question. You have three more." Please ... tie him to a cart and drag him. It seemed much more preferrable than to dealing with these ponies. Thisis what boss called Chaos? It was barely more than an inconvinence!

Flashgun focused his camera. "Wowzers!" It was a princess! Among all the normal ponies?! "Neat." he snapped his picture. Click, flash! He looked around, zooming in and out of focus. The pony really did live behind his camera.

Dark Strife stiffened when he was suddenly called, busy focused on the event and his chocolate. One of his chocolate hearts stumbled from his horn, but caught it just before it hit the ground. "Oh... foal. I see we are dressed fancy for the holiday..." The officer at least combed his man back today, gotta give him that. "So, are you here with your guardian this time?" He offered with a raised hoof, moving to ruffle the foal's mane. He seemed an okay officer, just a bit tired and reluctant to play by the Night Guard's rules.

Princess Luna quirked a brow at Discord and nodded, gesturing with her horn to Fluttershy. "Indeed, one from Fluttershy. When I have the time, I shall certainly open it to see what it holds!" She replied, and looked around at a familiar voice. Now that Discord had lifted part of the spell, her height was now level with Princess Cadance's. "Please, do not worry about it. He was safe with us, but.. he will do well in your hooves. I am so glad you could make it." Luna said, assuring her. She could see more flashes out of the corner of her eye, which she tried to ignore in favor of her companions and the event.

Fluttershi eeps and jumps up, "...o-oh I am sorry I...have to ask more questions...?" She whimpered and hid behind Tranquil trying to become invisible, before poking her head out, "...u-um...well...I-I suppose...curtain number 2...w-what is...your favorite season of the year...?" She asked and scurried out from behind Tranquil; still embarrassed.

Plot NPC stared at the mare. What was with these - innocent, foalish questions. He felt nausea riding up on him. Adjusting against the awful sensation of sanity he rolled his shoulders and looked to his papers, horn a glow. At least this reply could be stomached. "I never really had one in particular. I don't remember what season I was born with, but thinking on it I like summer cause I can play with my friends the most." Nope, he was wrong. That was just as sickening. Urk. He gave a slow, hard blink. "Very good -- Miss Shy. Would you like to ask the same question to another, or move on? Two more questions."

Fluttershi nods, "Yes...ask that to number 3 as well."

Tranquil's eyes went wide as the pegasi shrunk behind her, causing the kirin to blush and glance around. Oh gosh, why would you hide behind me of all ponies?! As Flutter scooted back out to present her next question, the mare couldn't help but let a soft sigh of relief out. Though, at least she had kept her cool instead of completely losing it when Cadence made her appearance, a much different story the first time she had met Luna! By the way... was Luna taller today...? A brow was quirked, but she wouldn't shove her nose into other ponies business, instead she turned back to the action!

Bygone Specter nodded quickly. "Of course! She brought me here!.." the little changeling in disguise responded with a scuff of his hoof. "Even got me a coat.... and boots... oh! And a new hat! I hope I can enchant this one like my old one. Or maybe even better, hehehe." The ruffling of his mane caused him to quickly raise a hoof and brush it back down... None of that! He glared up at the stallion though there was no heat behind it.

Flashgun seemed to be having fun himself though! So many displays and what was this green dude here behind the booth? Was he a prize? Some sort of animal? "Neat!" Flash, click!

Plot NPC made just a pained expression. Why would ponies torment him like this? He sighed and raised his head to look at his papers. His horn would once again glow, the green tinge against the black curve lighting up. "No. I don't want to repeat that." He looked at Discord, who gave a lowkey finger waggle. Would protest though. He stomped a hoof into the snow, but continued with intense reluctance. "I love winter because the landscape is beautiful. Sometimes I'd wish I was a painter so I could express it all! Winter! Yup!" He groaned sharply. "Miss Shy, you've one more question before you must decide. Shall you repeat your last question, or offer a new one for the contestants?"

Discord Draconequus stifled his laughter. "Oh, so were you planning to just sit here with us Lulu? You should be out there, making -- friends." He slithered out his forked tongue teasingly. Looking toward Tranquil it looked as if Flutter had taken refuge behind her. He reached out to prod her horn. "Hey, you finished that book? Got any chocolate?" He wagged the bottom remains of his cup, stained in cocoa powder. He had mostly eaten the cup itself which did not look healthy.

Dark Strife pulled back his hoof as if offended, popping another chocolate heart in his mouth. "Oh, think we are somepony already foal?" he chewed on his sweets. "You know this is an adult game. Shouldn't you be signing up for the all ages and up game?" Maybe it would occupy the kid. It was a lot of energy just -- being split up like this. This was a stupid idea. "It's good you have some new digs. Try to keep them clean."

Fluttershi nods, "...w-well..." She looked around and circled a hoof in the snow, "...u-um...number magical curtain one...what...um...d-do...you like to do...o-on your free time...?" She asked nervously as she fidgeted about and Angel looked annoyed as he smacked Flutter's head with his foot, "...o-ow...!" She had tears in her eyes, "...t-that hurt...Angel..." Angel shrugged and crossed his arms as he looked away and pouted.

Tranquil had left the tome back at her room for the events being held, but she'd offer a nod towards Discord. "I've almost completed it, I should have it done by tomorrow." As for chocolates, she hadn't thought to bring any, figured there would've been an abundance of the sweet treats here! Did offer Discord, as well as any other pony one of the paper flowers. After all she only needed to give one to whoever she ended up with! "You can turn that into chocolate, or does that go beyond your powers?" She'd tease the teacher.

Princess Luna frowned a little, looking around at the crowd of ponies around her when she heard Discord. "Most of these ponies I am already friends with, or at least acquainted. Save for the reporter." And she wasn't sure if it'd be safe to go near him. She knew enough about the Equestrian news to not want to get mixed up with them. Yikes, how was she to pull this new friends thing off?

Princess Cadence looks to luna and nods " I know you maybe wondering what you need to call him.. I namedhim seems he did not have one.. Asho Midir it means Pure Hearted Trickster " she gives a smile " He seems really happy and I am glad I can give him that" she looks up at Discord as it seemed his Coco was gone and useing her magic to lift some bits to the near by stand to pay for him a new one then moves it over to him witha smile " Here you are Discord " she knew he was the one behind the event after all he has asked her to be here and speak she still had no idea what she was going to say

Bygone Specter inclined his head some. "What all ages and up games?' he'd ask as he stared up at the dark pony in curiosity. What sort of games were there? The little changeling was curious.

Plot NPC kinda wanted to kick her too. What was with these questions? It was like watching a gradeschooler mumble about her crush. "I will require a new dinner box after this." He cleared his throat, horn glowing. 'I mostly spend it by myself. I work all night. Whenever I'm nos sleeping -- I hung out with my buddies, but I guess we went in different directions in our new positions.' He rolled his eyes. At least that was tolerable. "Alright Miss Shy -- pick one of the three curtains. Post haste." He hadn't time for her indecisiveness.

Flashgun got a little too close to the Smooze. He read the booth sign. "Kisses... one bit huh. To a good cause? Gotta say guess I can git behind that." he set down one bit, only to be pulled in by Smooze in a bit ol kiss and swallowed. He say floating in its gelatinous tummy. "Neat." He bubbled out in the goop before raising his camera. Click. Flash.

Fluttershi eeps and jumps behind Tranquil as she hides under her; peeking through her legs, "...u-um...curtain...3..." She said...as Angel during the little jump tumbled off and landed in the snow again.

Luna looked back around at Princess Cadance, interested, and soundlessly shaped the name with her lips. It had a nice meaning, fitting even, knowing how By- Asho, was. She noted most of what was going on around her, but her attention was largely on Princess Cadance. Or it was. Her eyes went up to the front to Fluttershy when she made her choice, and she waited to see what was to happen. Poor camera guy, though!

Tranquil squeaked out in surprise as she was now the hiding place for a particular yellow pegasus. "I may be tall, but I can't hide you, Flutter." She'd giggle, glowing her horn temporarily to help Angel back up on his padded feet.

Discord Draconequus he furrowed his brows, glaring at Angel bunny. When he received the paper flower from tranquil he set it in his paw. "Oh please, foal's play. I am a master of transmutation." He held up his paw aiming toward the prone rabbit. The paper flower shifted into chocolate as he shot it out with a flick, aimed for the rabbit's exposed forehead. He looked to Luna giving a nudge. He leaned his head down to her. "You know -- Lulu, just because you know a pony, doesn't make them your friends. candy is your niece -- Tranquil is your subject... why I am sure more faces are going to show up soon, ho ho." He say back, awaiting the draw.

Dark Strife looked down at the foal. "The next game's sign up sheets are posted over there." He pointed his hoof toward one of the booths. He had not signed up, and was unsure how long he could hold this shadow, but he did his best.

Princess Cadence smiles to Luna. "I was asked to do a speech by Discord at the end of the night.. I was thinking of announcing the adoption and his new name then. And requesting he do a speech on friendship. I think he would do well at it much better then I. And it will show him in the Royal stand. " she looks over to see who was coming to greet Fluttershy also but still was keeping a close eye on Asho..

Plot NPC sighs. Finally. "Miss Shy..." He glanced over toward where the Smooze had made -- a new friend. "there is your choice for the evening. My, you sure know how to pick them." He sarcastically bit."Flash Gun, a visitor from Manehatten was it? He likes art, animals, and adores....photography. Sketchy." He muttered that last bit.

Flashgun waved from inside Smooze when eh heard his name, at least he thought he heard it. "Eeeeey!" He held up his camera, click. Flash. It would be a nice memory! He did find these sort of things best. He lived behind the camera, a surprise his name wasn't shutterbug, but with his obsession with flashes and lighting -- it seemed appropriate. That last pic was going to end up with a green filter though...

Bygone Specter lets out a quiet 'ooooh' and tilts his head. "Thank you for the help Mister Strife!" Thus the foal went bouncing off to go look at the list. He was wholly unaware of the plotting that was going on between Cadance and Luna... And likely would remain as such for the time being.

Fluttershi crawls up to him and pokes the smooze, "...o-oh...he-hello there..." She said, before shrugging and jumping into the smooze too and poking him from with in the green creature. It didn't feel all that bad actually felt warm and lovely in there.

The Smooze loved hugs and kisses! They jiggled in glee, ever the happy blob! Now their friends were giving them the best kinds of hugs! They made incoherent Smooze noises, but Discord understood them well enough! It was so happy to be able to play with the others again, and they were invited! Jiggle!


Princess Luna glanced Discord's way, puzzled. Surely Princess Cadance and herself were.. friends? Even if they were aunt and niece. At least she considered Cadance a friend. Though she could get to know Tranquil better; she'd hardly talked to the mare other than offering to give her a schedule of Canterlot's local art galleries. "A speech? Your idea sounds quite lovely, my niece."

Discord Draconequus: The first contest of the night is now over! It seems Fluttershy would be hanging out with Flash Gun -- uh, in -- Smooze. Right well. Smooze says he's happy to receive hugs! We will take a small break! Ponies can whisper Discord Draconequus or PlotNPC to sign up for the next event! Smooze-- spit them out! You'll get more kisses later --. Spirit of Disharmony and Shenanigans

The Smooze slid Flutter and Flash from their forms and burbled before settling back into the kissing booth! The more bits they got, Discord said they could do soemthing fun! Any bits earned were kept in thier tum-tum for now!

Plot NPC seated hismelf, feeling tired. "Can't this be over now?" He sulked, his mane falling over his face, like raw seaweed on the surface of the foamy ocean of malcontent. "Maybe I should move to Manehatten where they don't celebrate this."

Fluttershi walks over to Discord and shakes off the smooze on her and then back over to Flashgun as she nestled by him, before Angel grumbled and stomped his feet wanting to climb on Flutter again.

Princess Cadence looks at the unknown pony " Hearts and Hooves day is everywhere.. I think there is a play in Center Park in Manehattan today " she nods to luna " Yes I think it is the best Idea as this was a bit last minute and I had not time really to write anything "

Flashgun cheered as he slid it, upside down. He pulled his camera to his face and took a picture of the exit slide. "I kinda like this. Isa'shame we don't celebrate it much back home! It's hardly contest against other holidays! Ponyville is pretty unique in that respect!" He laughed out with his funny Manehatten accent. He poised his camera toward the crowd. Flick. Flash. he looked over to Flutter. "wow you seem like a nice gal. This'll be fun. My name's Flash Gun! My boss calls my Gunny! Or Gunther when he's reaaaally mad." he smirked.

Los Pollos Loco were out running....ah... a taco stand! The cockatrice gang had dressed up in rather... terrible.. pony costumes and were wearing sunglasses to block their red eyes from petrifying anypony. Their landlord had asked the couch potato gang if they wanted to attend and the group had wholeheartedly agreed. Ponies were obviously not the eyewatering patchwork monstrosities that were behind the stand, though.... At least the tacos were good. They were only being sold for one bit to!

Discord Draconequus sputtered when he suddenly had smooze all over him. "Hey now!" he arched a bit, his feathers getting mucked. Settling back down he looked over to Fluttershy. "I see you had fun~" Though she looked about ready to explode on stage! Tranquil looked to busy herself with drawing before he looked to Lulu, smirking. "Go on...." He teased, looking over to Angel who was furious, to his delight.

Fluttershi nods to Flashgun, "...o-oh./...my names...Fluttershy...it's a pleasure to meet...y-you...Flash Gun..." She said with a warm smile, "...I-I never done...an-anything like...th-this before though...i-it's a bit nervewracking." She said and looked around a bit to see what the others were up to.

Celestia poffered her wings; the night air was cool as it rustled through her feathers. It felt nice for once. Peaceful and serene. The chariot carrying her descended, pulling Ponyville into view, the lights and spectacular grandeur captivating her attention. Everything looked nice. The ponies did a fantastic job for Hearts and Hooves day. Softly the chariot landed, allowing the princess to disembark, scanning the rather large crowd of ponies. She smiled, "This is wonderful." She whispered, pink eyes surveying the throng before landing on the sights of her sister. With a furl of wings she began to trot over to her

Dark Strife managed to keep his cool as one of the princesses arrived. Now he more or less knew Luna's predicerment. Being a shadow worked like that. Buuuut. He stood and trotted toward the sign up sheet. Yup. Good day. He used his horn to levitate the quill to etch in his name. He'll jsut play a game. Keep his mind focused on this form.

Plot NPC sulked toward the taco stands. "You chickens, what sort of meals do you serve? I believe i have forfeited mine during that last event!" he was a pompous porcupine, but he didn't like being forced to work for such a hapless boss. God of Chaos his left flank. It was more like senior derps-a-lot.

Los Pollos Loco were sitting at the stand when they were addressed by the sulky announcer. "B'kaw naw kukukaw!" was the reply as the 'totally not a cockatrice' pony slipped a platter with five tacos onto the countertop...

Pestilence Pony watched from afar as various ponies and their special someponies frolicked and played. The decor was lovely, as it was every year as far as should could think back. She sighed a little and hid in the underbrush of the nearby forest, doing her best to see but not be seen. They looked so happy over there, the ponies and their beloveds. She tried to remember how it felt to be like them, before her affliction and the years of self-isolation, but she could not. The memory was just too far in the past and locked away; in a cage like someones once lovable pet turned monster. It was easier not to remember, she thought to herself. Yes, it was better not to know those joys. Still...she couldn't help but wonder. That was why she came today after all, curiosity and a desire to recapture her former life. No good would come of it though, at least that's what she told herself.

Princess Luna made a noise in her throat at Discord's insistance. Tranquil seemed too busy to talk to, so she'd have to talk to somepony else. It probably wouldn't hurt if she joined in on.. whatever game was next. She followed Strife's example to sign her own name, moving off to return to her previous spot- and just in time to witness her sister's arrival. Luna moved off through the crowd to approach the elder with a smile. "Tia! I am glad to see you here."

Princess Cadence trots over to join Asho at the booth she signs her name for the never game also why not she needed to have some fun after all she gives Asho a wink before returning to a seat near Luna and the up comeing Celestia. She gives a wave to Celestia as she arrives wondering if she had heard the news yet

Flashgun laughed, looking to Flutter. "Aww, didn't embarrass you did I? My senior reporter said if I wanted to get good pictures I had to be in the fray of of it all! Guess I'll sign up for this one too! Wanna sign up with me Fluttershy? I'd be pretty glad." It seemed like fun! A big city pony like him never really slowed down miuch to take in the adventure that came with the sights of a new town!

Plot NPC narrowed his eyes. Why did Discord talk so much about these tacos. They did not look like anything special. He had to eat before the next game -- slave-driver. he lowered his head to munch on the tacos, hopefully -- this would kill him, The next game's title was stupid!

Fluttershi looks down, "...o-oh...I-I don't...know...okay maybe I-I will...i-it sounds fun...? Yes...fun..." She said with a blush and shook her head, "...a-and no...I-I am not really embarrassed...p-per say...just...um..." Looks down and blush deepened.

Bygone Specter looks up at the alicorn as she comes over to join him. Making sure he was signed up he decided to accompany her back over to the seating area and flopped down. He was still as of yet unsure about having all these ponies around at once! There were even ponies he didn't recognize! He needed to rest a little...

Pestilence Pony smelled tacos. It'd been awhile since she ate decent cooked food, and not the berries and various things that grew around her cave, and even those things were not that plentiful. Few things could grow near her dwelling, it was one of the reasons she picked it. She sniffs the air again and hears a slight grumbled from her stomach, which she quickly jabs with her hoof. "Quiet you, they'll hear you!" she said to her tummy. Her stomach, however, did not quiet and almost as if in protest to the jab growled louder.

The Smooze was nearby the woodland area. The blob of slime looked over, jiggling. Was there a new friend they hand't met? They would undulate making Smooze noises, but only Discord seemed able to translate them, Tree Hugger and FLutter probably had an easy time with the blob as well!

Discord Draconequus snerked. Flutter was so cute and her little interactions. he has, honestly, gotten better at not blowing a gasket when his friends -- made new friends. He was just glad she came with him. He was just glad -- he wasn't by himself. "I'll sign up too!" The spirit flashed and hovered over Flutter before he made motion to snap his tail's tuft at Luna's tush! He floated toward the signup sheet, hanging upside down to sign his name -- though he could only write D-I-S-S-Y in New Equestrian. So be it!

Dark Strife offered his body a 'wtf' look as they floated by. Really? You can't have both of us join! He could only shake his head and trot back toward one of the stalls to refill his bag of chocolate hearts. His body was being run ragged. This was shadow abuse.

Celestia meandered her way through the milling about, sliding with ease between the clusters of ponies. It'd didn't take long to cross the gap, mane trailing flawlessly behind her, "Yes, sister, it is indeed good to be here." She intoned melodiously, golden hooves brushing against the plush grasses beneath her, "All the ponies did such a wonderful job, didn't they?" Of course, the event was in full swing and everypony seemed to be enjoying themselves. It was great to see them out having fun and making friends, "Its good to see things like this. Makes me happy." Her eyes continued to survey the throng, catching a quick glimpse of Discord disappearing into the mass

Pestilence Pony sighed, it was no use trying to fight it any longer. She had to have a taco, and maybe a cupcake. "Fine..." She said to herself, then tapped her hoof to the ground. At an instant a small and scruffy looking rat would scurry from its hiding place behind her and come to attention. "Mr. Squeeks, could you fetch me one of those tasty looking tacos?" She'd ask of her furry friend. Of course he would, he had to obey her and soon the rat would scurry out from the bushes as fast and as sneaky as a rodent could towards the taco stand.

Princess Luna did note that there was quite a lot going on around her, too much to even really focus on! She slid in to walk beside her sister, and felt a moment of deja vu; her first time in Ponyville she'd looked like this, after her defeat. And during a large celebration too; though not like this. "Indeed they have! It brings my heart joy to see such unity among us." Luna agreed wholeheartedly. Huh, was that Discord signing up too?

Flashgun was super glad to sign up for another game! he scribbled his name with his muzzle, super sloppy. All it read was F.Gunny with a whimsical tail at the Y's end. Aww yes! He would go roll up by Flutter and wait for the next event. But it was when he turned that he spotted... "Princess Celestia?" Though where was Luna? He slowly raised his camera. Click. Flash!

Ruairi emerged from the Everfree covered in a viscous white mucous, a souvenir from his latest catch. Hooked on his saddle hanged the hoof of the beast that had given him such. Crag Cow, it had invaded into one of the neighboring towns, and eaten all their crops, then resulted to assault their barn. Poor beast was probably hungry, and their territory was getting smaller by the years, is no wonder that the farmer had paid a deep price for the beast. Didn't matter, it was not his job to choose right from wrong. "Better clean up, I don't think I can take this smell." The colt spoke to himself, a personality tick he wasn't quite happy with, but somehow couldn't help himself, a symptom of loneliness perhaps. As he comes across the nearest town, the town of ponyville as the locals called it, he couldn't help but notice a notice board saying. "Come Join Us at our Hearts and Hooves Festivities, There will be food, fun, and games. "Sounds like a perfect place to spend the afternoon."

Los Pollos Loco were completely oblivious to anypony taking their tacos nor rodents in the stand with them! Most seemed to be avoiding them like the plague though. Why? Well... cockatrice wouldn't know better than to bring fish tacos for ponies....

Fluttershi takes the pen in her muzzle and signed up as well, before she hurried back to Flash and cuddled with him as Angel managed to jump through the crowd and try and shove in between the two as he tried to kick Flash away.

Discord Draconequus: The event was open to all ponies, couples or not! Of course the secret host and sponsor to the event really had no concept of Romance, so far be it for them to make a festival based around face octopus'ing! Free hugs for everyone! Oh, don't forget the hot cocoa, fish tacos, and chocolate hearts~!

Plot NPC would 'lo, quite soon, feel the rumble jumble in his stomach. He was a heartless, cold, and pessimistic gloom, but he was still a pony! Who served fish to a pony?! He felt his stomach knot up. But it was not so bad-- not bathroom worthy, but this was going to be -- a struggle. He walked back to the front of the crowd, waiting for those interested in the next event to settle....

Pestilence Pony noticed as Ruairi passed by, but luckily he did not spy her. She was good at hiding, a skill she had ages to develop out of necessity. Meanwhile, Mr. Squeekers had managed to fetch the biggest and grandest of stinky tacos. Sardine Supreme! He would struggle trying to tug it back to the forest, but Mr.Squeekers was persistent.

Princess Cadence smiles softly to her new son as he follows along behind her.. as he settled in a seat she was able to feel that he was a bit uneasy with all the strangers so she move her wing over him pulling him to her in a hug and protecting him from the sight of others at the same time she's nuzzle him softly " Its ok Asho don't worry your safe.. I will never let anything happen to you ok " she said softly with a smile

Bygone Specter quirked his head some and nodded. "Mkay. I-I'll hold ya to that." was the playful reply as he looked around once again. He was still used to being the 'specter'... not out amongst so many! The camera-pony looked somewhat... troublesome.. He had a bad feeling about him! One slip up and a loss of disguise and there'd be pictures!

Celestia fell easily into stride with her sister as the younger motioned beside her. Slowly the two began to saunter amiss the masses, grandeur of the two cast along the onlookers, "I agree." The sun princess said simply, though that soft smile played upon her muzzle. Indeed it was wonderous seeing such harmony as this, "And to see everypony this happy. It is indeed, joyous." Though she could see at the corner of her eye the Draconequus slinking up to a signup sheet, For the events she assumed, "Though I hope Discord is behaving himself?" Despite their past... Escapades, he appeared to be having fun. She broadened her smile at the though

Princess Luna glanced over at Princess Cadance and the newly renamed Asho- that was a name she'd have to get used to, and thinking of him as that. There were bound to be a few slipups. They seemed happy, though. She surveyed the gathered crowd with interest, noting what newcomers were visible to her- some of them new faces- though the mare who hid was entirely out of her view. "As far as my awareness goes, he has been; if he is up to anything, it has been quite tame."

Flashgun was in the middle of taking pictures of the sun princess only to find the side of his head -- kicked! "Ow! Yoo!" He looked over, spotting a mouse stealing a taco. He glanced around, slowly raising the camera. Click. Flash. "Man, you guys sure got some smart rats!" Though really big--- creepy.

Discord Draconequus: And so it begins, our second event of the evening. Gather around everypony! Nessie will begin the announcement of the rules!

Dark Strife moved to sit with the participating crowd, though he was hard to spot way in the back. A forgettable pony that seemed to have a hankering for that sweet, sweet chocolate delight. He'd hope this game was the last of it. It hurt his head tryingto be in two places at once.

The Smooze was sort of watching from its booth. That mouse was playing fetch! But they wanted to sit with the others so the floppy, undulating slime monster cme to sit among the cushions, vibrating a bit talking, but alas very few spoke Smooze~!

Pestilence Pony: Mr. Squeekers would, well, squeek when the flash went off and his picture taken. Time to scamper, and scamper quickly! It tore off some taco and went hurdling into the bushes and into Lommies hoofs. "Oh my, didn't get the whole thing did you? Thats okay. You did your best." She said, patting him on the head and taking the little bit of taco he got. She tore it in half and gave him the other piece. "Next time buddy, next time."

Fluttershi eeps at Angel as he gets called a rat and blank stares at the photo pony, before sticking out his tongue and hopping back onto Flutters head and curling up.

Plot NPC was just tired off doing this. This was hardly a chaos worthy event. Jsut a bunch of ponies playing -- who the Tartarus knew! UGH his stomach! Whatever! Stupid chickens and their stupid fish! Stupid Discord and his stupid games!!! RAAAAAGH. He remained utter callm and solemn on the outside as he screamed in mental rage. "We shall now begin with the next event.... " He was remiss, no in utter refulal to say the event's name. Discord flaoted passed, glaring at him, whapping the back of his head with his tail. Ht twitched. "Heart of the Cards." Though,after his annoucnement he was pelted in teh face wit ha snowball?! "What the dickens?! Who did that?!" He glared at the foals who were sculpting snow.

Discord Draconequus broke out in hysterical laughter as he flopepd back on the cushions. he woudl turn his head to try and blow Angel off Flutter's head before laying his own there! He spotted the rat Flash was ranting about, but animals did not interest him... not in the least. His eyes clsoed, only for one to slip open as he watched Luna walk beside Celestia. His ears folded back as he chuckled, his chest rumbling with mirth. He sat up, all giddy for this event, it was his favorite game.

Dark Strife stifled a laugh and glanced away. Alright so maybe there was some amsuement expereincing this from a shadow's point of view, still. He popepd anotehr chocolate heart in his muzzle and waited.

Pestilence Pony watched the games being played. She remembered games, croquet, polo... Though she never did quiet master the art of riding on a saddleback. Those beast back then were so big! "I wonder what they are playing over there Squeekers." she said as she chewed her little bity taco bit.

Fluttershi blinks as Angel was blown off then Discord rested on her head as her eyes tilted up, "...o-oh...hi..." She said and then grabbed Flash and pulled him close, "...um...Flash this is...Discord he is one of my best friends..."

Flashgun had lost sight of the rat when he was kicked by the rabbit. "Eyyy sup? Sorry 'bout taht my ear's still ringin' on account a taht rabbit." He shook his head. "Name's Flash! Friends call my Gunny, my most eh-fuuumed compatriats hail me as Gunther if they're really steamed." he paused mid rant. "wait -- what. Dis..." Slowly raised hsi camera. Click. Flash. Spirit of Chaos, captured on film.

Celestia continued to stide through the crowd towards a few of the stands to the far end, catching sight of another familiar face. Her eyes brightened up as Luna too, turned to let eyes befall the quaint princess, "Cadance." The sun princess chripped, nearly too squeakily and too excitedly. Ah well. This was a reason to be joyous, no? Waving a golden clad hoof, she hoped to get her attention before spotting a pastry stand, "One second my dear sister..." She said solomly before striding to a source of her weak spot. Seconds later returning with a huge piece of cake, "Couldn't help myself," she said between breaths, horn glowing with magic as the spoon dipped into the delecant delight

Princess Cadence sees the taco stand near by and feels herself a bit hungry so she staying there and beind sure to protect Asho from the crowd floats some bits over for a plate as the plate is gave she floats it to her but the smell hits her before it gets over to her and her stumic turns there was something wrong with the hay in it she thought as she dumps the tacos in the near by woods and throws the plate away.. more bits where floated for some chocolates and cupcakes and they where floated back to share with her son as the waited for there turns

Pestilence Pony eyes lit up as a taco, a whole taco, was dumped. "Squeekers, we hit pay dirt!" She said as she dove for the discarded taco gleefully. Squeekers did a dance to celebrate. Full bellies tonight!
Pestilence Pony was overwhelmed. "Squeekers. Are you sitting down?" The rat shook his head, than sat. "Not just one...four! Four tacos! Quick, go get your brothers!" The rat did just that, and moments later, 4 additional rats showed up to share in the feast. "Best holiday in ages.." She said, a little tear in her eye.

Pestilence Pony was full, as was Squeekers and his four brothers. They all layed in the unsnowly underbrush and enjoyed a post-feast nap, catching in little bits of light through the trees above. Soon she'd fall asleep by accident, a foolish mistake but unavoidable when so content.

Princess Luna had to wonder what this 'Heart of the Cards' game entailed. A card game, likely, but of what, other than being themed to Hearts and Hooves Day? She hoped it would be explained soon. Her attention shifted to the others, briefly to Tia, as she went off to get herself... a large slice of cake. She probably should have seen that coming, knowing her sister's weakness for sweets! Luna had to wait until Celestia returned to inform her of something, now that the white alicorn had noticed Cadance. "Princess Cadance has decided to show kindness for Bygone and adopted him, sister. He will finally have a family, despite Princess Cadance expecting a child of her own." Speaking of, Princess Cadance didn't seem to find the food of her choosing to her liking. Aw.

Plot NPC wanted to be quartered at this point. "right, shall we begin?" He took hsi papers, shuffling them. "Now the rules are simple. Thos participating will selecitng a card from this pile here." He levitated the deck with his horn. "each card has four colors. We draw a card from the deck until we run out of cards, or I die of food poisoning. Whichever coems first." He sighed. "Participants will answer a question, which is determined by the color. The participantns are as follows: Asho-- Tartarus kidna name is that? Strife. Discord... of course. Cadence, Gunny, Fluttershy... Lulu. Brilliant round of names."

Discord Draconequus: For the next even Ponies need to roll a D4 (roll 1D4) to select their card! You all roll at once at Nessie's depressing count down! There are four colors! Red, Pink, Blue and Yellow!! All together now!

Plot NPC blinked. "what is the sister's wing tips even is this? You know what? Fine, whatever." He looked to the little disgusied changeling. "Foal, answer this question truthfully -- or you will shame your ancestors and be disqualified..... " He paused for effect. "Do you liek doing chores?"

Discord Draconequus was beside hismelf with laughter, ltierally, because Stife was jsut facehoofing at this point. Poor Nessie! He jsut hated interactionwith other ponies!

Dark Strife was indeed facehoofing becasue he was sure Nessie will jsut go insane and warp out with the amount of sanity damage he was taking. The stallion laid hismelf down on the cushion and shrugged. He tried to be the voice of reason, but it was all becoming raisins anyway.

Bygone Specter slow-blinked and inclined his head. 'Uh... chores?" he'd ask, initially confused since he didn't know what the term meant until h thought about it. "Oooooh! I don't mind them... They need to be done, right?! I had to otherwise my cart would fall apart!"

Princess Cadence huffs and flutters her wings at the pony knowing Asho's namebut calling him Foal " He has a name Prince Asho please be sure and use it.. " she stated in a loud voice.. she then turned her attion to Celestia who was coming to them " Hello Aunt " she'd bow her head to the two

Plot NPC looked to Strife. "You, whoever the heck you are. Do you know how to cook?" He glared at the red-eyed pony with his own red eyes! Just lie so he can go be done with this.

Dark Strife paused mid bite from his chocolate. "....no. At least not real food. I enjoy baking cookies." Which seemed out there for an old cranky police officer.

Plot NPC was generally enranged everyone rolled a 2. "....DISCORD, you spine eating SNAKE. Would you rather be a chicken...or a duck?"

Pestilence Pony was laying there peacefully asleep when suddenly, a card blew over and impaled itself on her horn. She didn't know this, however, as she still slept. Silly Lommie, playing cards in your sleep. This is why you stink at gambling.

Discord Draconequus threw his arms up. "A duck! Honks are more annoying than clucking!" He cackled.

Plot NPC inchoherent nosies of rage. "Princess Cadence...What animal are you scared of?"

Princess Cadence blinks " None I love all animals even grompy Unicorns " she sends him a hart from her horn that pops and showers him with love

Plot NPC smooshed his face into his paper. "Infectious, truly." He drly bade, only to feel itchy. Love made him itchy!! One of them HAS to lie. PENALTY GAMES WITHOUT PUNISHMENT -- were POINTLESS. "Flash, foriegn pest. What rumor have you spread, that you know was a lie?" Oh he had hopes! He as a photographer... he couldn't spoil his sources!!!

Celestia was throughly enjoying her slice of cake -- what a weakness it was for her. But it was so good! Luna was already chomping down on her own rather ridiculously large slice when the youngers eyes seemed to grown slightly serious, "A changeling? Bygone?" much to her chargin her expression softened, spoon hoovering just before her mouth, "I suppose its no huge deal. At least Cadence will show him love and guide him properly." Her voice was slightly stiff but she shook her head, resuming eating. Her head turned as Cadense strode up beside them, "Hello Cadence." She greeted, nodding towards the other princess

Flashgun lowered his head and blushed. "aww geez. I mean..." he reached up to rub the back of his mane with his hoof. "I kinda spread around one time that Blue Blood went bar divin' last time 'e came to the city, blacked out in a sewer tryin' ta fight a Rockagator. I got in a heckuva lotta trouble over that."

Pestilence Pony ears perked up. "Infectious, itchy?" Where they talking about her! ALARM SETS IN. A sense of panic over comes her. Oh no, did one of them touch her while she slept?! Or come too close!?

Plot NPC stilled. Blinking blankly. he looked to Fluttershy. "Miss Shy. Please don't let me down. Do you like bugs?" I mean every girl hated bugs!

Fluttershi tilts her head as her expression brightened, "...o-oh yes...I love all the little critters and even the big ones, but my favorites are spiders even though they aren't really bugs...oh an I like stinck bugs they are soooo cute and adorable...just have to wear a gass mask occasionally for them..." She smiled to the Unicorn.

Plot NPC's mental fortitude was slowly being whittled away. He wasn't a bad pony, jsut a pessemistic, extremly hateful pony. He sighed deeply, signing away his life to this monotonay... "Very well." He robotically grumbled. "Lulu, as violently tooth rottingly cute taht name is -- Do you have an Imaginary friend?"

Princess Luna had listened curiously in on the others' answers, and couldn't help but notice how.. frustrated the host looked. She quirked a brow at him when he finally reached her and snorted- what a question! "I do not, for I am not a foal, nor have I lost my mind." Luna answered- she'd have to get back to Celestia about Bygone in a moment.

Pestilence Pony creeped out of the underbrush to see what harm she had inadvertaintly done, the card still stuck to her horn. No one looks sick... She says to herself, then she spots the smile creature. Oh sweet mericiful tricorns, I hope I didn't do that one.. She thinks with a shudder. She was visable now, though that wasn't likely to last long.

Discord Draconequus appeared behind Pesty, upside down, floating off the ground nad arms crossed over hsi chest. "And you my dear... If given the chance to become invisible for one who day...what would you do?" The spirit of Chaos whispered. To the others he looks to have completely vanished. Where had he gone? Oh he was a stealthy monster....

Pestilence Pony meeped and jumped straight into the air. "Ask for the day to never end!" She said, frightened! Hearing her distress, Mr.Squeekers awoke and darted to action, biting the floating one on the tip of his tail in hopes to give his mistress time to run!

Princess Cadence turns her head to see the scarid unicorn in the edge of the woods and the rat bite Discord she looks about confussed her wing moving some to allow Asho to see the unicorn also

Plot NPC twitched. "as ... aggrivating as it is taht none of you are recieving penalty, your answers are rahter intriguing. So -- a foal who likes to do chores? It seems somepony has been forced to work since their youth, finding no purchase in defying the adutls around them. No fears? Oh my dear, that means you have suffered greatly to have nothing else to fear in this world..." he sat back. "And spreading rumors about other ponies? Why for this to be your first line of action, as an adult no less -- shameful." He smirked. "Love for even the tiniest, most unworthy creature. How much love do you have left for yourself? And no imaginary ffriend? Why this is no case of insanity. It shows you were never alone, never given time to expand on your creativity." He folded his papers with his horn. "While I am saddened none of you ponies lied, do realize that the truth is only that much more -- mischievous."

Discord Draconequus got bit, but that was okay. He held out his paw and claw, clapping them together. With a flash, Pest would find that though she could see herself -- no others could. "I think one wish granted per holiday is enough for a good deed, no?" he pulled the rat off and dropped it. This is why he disliked animals! He mangled monster warped back, flopping on the cushiosn from the considerable hieght he returned on. "Rude rodents..." he moved to curl up.

Fluttershi raises a hoof, "...um escuse me...mister...scary questiong Unicorn sir...m-may I ask a question of you...?"

Plot NPC shook his head. "As for the officer, your inability to fend for yourself -- shows you have no sense to care for yourself. Discord, I am not surprised, but your loud Antics do naught but garner you attention among the riff raff. You are a sad, lonely snake." He glanced over to the pegasus mare. "What is it you wish to ask? I have little to tell." He professed.

Princess Cadence titls her head at the Unicorn " Yes I have seen things and now have nothing to fear.. " It was the truth she had only just adopted Asho but soon she'd have a fear and her fear whould that somethingmay hurt her foals...

Celestia stopped short again, hearing a huge commotion. Luna's attention suddenly captivated by another presence -- a rather strange looking unicorn who was hosting games. Most of the ponies had gathered around - questions being flung in all directions. One even towards Luna herself. Hmm interesting, no? Her eyes leveled on the rukus, watching as strange happenings were tanspiring, "What the..." She questioned as her sister was asked something about imaginary friends. Then the attention was turned towards a rat. Poor thing, being flipped around like that. Seems like everypony was having fun but the sun princess was befuddled by the craziness

Pestilence Pony: "Good work Squeekers...." She said, but Squeekers was in a panic. From what he saw, Discord just poofed his mistress out of existence! "Squeekers?" Pestilence said, waving her hoof frantically. But the rat did not come. A sudden horror overcomes her, was she now truly alone? It took her forever to gain the rats trust, and now even they would not see her!? Squeekers was absolutely distraught and began to search for Pesty. And Lommie, well, she wandered around the town with her head hanging low. But out of the corners of her eyes, she was for the first time in decades to see the new buildings and sites of the kingdom. Though invisible as she may be, her condition still had its effects. As she wondered around, those who came near her would come over with fevers and coughs, some would get ticks and fleas. And others, well, lets just say Pony Pocks is no laughing matter.

Fluttershi gets up and stretches, before walking over to him. She smiled lightly, "...w-well...I think...youy are just grumpy...be-because you don't have any pony...today..." She said and looked around, before reaching out and giving him a hug, "...but...I want to let you know...that...I will be your...f-friend and...yoiu shouldn't be so...down on a day like today..."

Flashgun rubbed his nose. He did feel bad about being mean to Blue Blood. "Yeah, man you gotta be more peaceable with yer neighbors! We can have a big ol' cookout. I mean those chickens is great cooks -- i-if you don't eat the fish... come on brony. You should get along with everypony!"

Princess Luna had been quite surprised by the little analyses cast out by their unamused host. Huh. She found each of them quite interesting, even for herself; perhaps it was true. Maybe? She had quite an imagination as a child, playing with Celestia on Canterlot Hill. Pretending to be princesses. Luna glanced up at her elder sister with a little smile. "Yes indeed, Princess Cadance making such a choice is quite admirable." Luna told her and turned back to face the front again, spying Fluttershy's approach of their sulky unicorn host. Was it really that easy?

Discord Draconequus floated off the cushions, motioning his paw to the little changeling as he floated off behind some of the stalls. His nose was still sore but oh well. Snifflign a bit he landed and padded behind the stalls.

Dark Strife glanced up at his body before looking at Nessie. "You are a clam Night, try to get along with the other ponies. You don't want to end up on the wrong side of the tracks." He defended the pegasus' actions. Also used Nessi's first name.

Celestia shook her head, finishing the last bites of her cake and discarding the plate in a nearby by can. Oh all the chaos. Yet, it was a kind that seemed to have its own allure. Everyone was having so much fun! "I have confidence in her." She snapped out of her reverie momentarily, gazing at the sullen looking unicorn hosting the games, "As odd as it is." What was really going on? Not really sure. She noticed Fluttershy. The epitome of kindess aproaching the grouchy unicorn, "At least things are going well." She finally added, still enraptured with the goings on before her

Bygone Specter flicked an ear and looked to Cadance, but she seemed to be occupied for the moment. He gave her a nudge to let her know he was headng off and then made his way from the group of ponies and almost stealthily slipped off after Dissy! His dark colored coat and boots helped with that actually. Definitely unintentional!

Pestilence Pony stopped her sulking at the site of somthing glorious, the bath house. "What is a bath house?" She thought to herself as she approached to read the sign, her eyes becoming glittering globes of joy as she absorbed the notation. "Baths! With soap and hot water and nice smells and and..." She beamed and ran in through the doors, knocking over somepony in the process. A few moment later there would be a mysterious splash as an invisible Lommie cannon balled right into a pool of lavender oil scented bubbly hot water. "No words....should've sent...a poet..." She says as she relaxes.

Princess Luna nodded her agreement with her sister's voiced confidence. She felt the same way. "Indeed. It is most exciting. Excuse me for a moment, sister." The temporary-unicorn strode off through the little crowd of ponies to join Fluttershy! "More than one new friend you shall have! Certainly today of all days is not one to be unhappy on!" Luna declared with her usual theatrics and swung a foreleg around their host to embrace him with the element of kindness.

Fluttershi grins and giggles as the smooze joins them and engulfs everypony, "...h-hey...you are so adorable..."

Celestia blinked as Luna excused herself, walking away abruptly. The younger strode over to the sour looking unicorn and wrapped a hoof around him, dragging him -which looked reluctantly, into a hug. Even Fluttershy as well as the rest of the ponies, including a goopy looking creature; what? joined in the hug fest. But this wasn't hardly strange! No not at all! The sun princess simply chose not to attempt to figure it out short of making her brain hurt and raised a hoof to almost mask a childish giggle.

Plot NPC flustered. "H-hey! Who said I wanted friends! I am a ..." Cornered rat. He sunk down, lamenting on his woes. Why was Discord such an unimaginable pain in his posterior? Why did he have to deal with this? Was this not a punishment in and of itself? Why did that nasty spirit make him deal with this. "F...fine. You win." He was defeated.

Dark Strife arched a brow. "well done ladies." He raised his hooves and clapped them together. Dark Strife blinked. "Ah..and Smooze...." he groaned.

Flashgun cheers them on. "allright! You go." He pulled the camera to his face... click flash.

Pestilence Pony: Mr. Squeekers little ears fluttered. Rat? Cornered! No, they would never get him alive! Not after that other one destroyed his mistress! No, this rat was taking names. He would scamper over to Plot and pounce his foot, thrashing it with his little ratty paws.

Los Pollos Loco cockatrice-piles Strife for... some odd reason. Perhaps they wanted payment and couldn't find Discord? Or perhaps they didnt' know about him and had decided to pounce on the pony that was isolated!

Al-Burq was somehow roped in. He takes the announcer's papers. "Uh... With our previous announcer friendshipped... I will bring you the rest of the evening." He annoucned in a clear voice. "You will be recieving an important announcement from one of the crowned princesses oof the Crystal Empire. Afterwards please take the opprotunity to seek out your love fortuens from Miss Yuna in the booth after. Happy Hearts and Hooves Day everypony." He had no idea what Hearts and Hooves day was, but okay. He did his job.

Princess Cadence walks past the crowd and up to the front she had nothing set to say.. As she stand there she looks about seeing Asho for that moment she smiles " I was contacted only a few days ago to come and speak at this event. But I have had no real time to get anything ready for you. So I have deiced that it is not me who needs to make a speech I am but the link to the one who needs to. " she takes a deep breath " So in this moment I have a announcement to make as I wish to make this official. " She stands proudly " I Princess Mi Amore Cadenza have Officially adopted the pony formally known as Bygone Specter.. As he was never truly named I have named him.. His official name is name Prince Asho Midir.. The meaning of this name is Pure Hearted Trickster.. In the years I have been around I have never seen a pony with a purer heart then Asho. He was willing to give up his own happiness to make all his friends happy.. And for that reason I think that Asho should be the one up here talking to everypony about love, friendship, and when it OK to sacrifice and when it is not OK " she looks around for Asho but he was no where to be seen.. she looks about a bit frantically she thought he knew to stay in sight!

Princess Luna had to sit back when the poor unicorn sunk down from her and Fluttershy's combined weight- or hugs. "Surely it is not so bad!" The princess in hiding exclaimed, releasing the, ah, former host to pat him on the back. She had to quiet down when Princess Cadance stepped up to the front and made her speech. Her ears perked and she, too, looked around for Bygone.. but she saw no sign of him. Luna had little idea to where the foal had snuck off to while she was otherwise distracted. Uh oh.

Discord Draconequus: Now I know sometimes it is hard to get along with everypony. Sometiems all they need is someone to hold them and say it's alright. They may not always accept your friendship, but your actions will always effect them. Love isn't just for couples. Love is held between friends. Love is carried between siblings. Love manifests among strangers who do well to be kind for no other reason than to show kindness. Love is weak, and a easily broken, bit it can never be destroyed. Massive explosions lit up from behind one of the stalls. Into the sky would rain Fireworks. Flowers, hearts and ponies hugging displayed in the night sky. It was sometimes okay to be mad at each other, we all make mistakes, but let's hold each other again and smile! Don't be afraid to love! Be afraid you never showed how strong yours is! Congratulations everypony. We're a family.

Dark Strife claps his hooves before turning too leave. "It was pretty okay. I think love is interesting, but there's way too many to ever understand them all..." Waddles off.

Discord Draconequus woudl return with By--Ash in tow. He would set him down by Candence before lowering himself on the cushions as well.

Bygone Specter was still wearing the pull down metal welding mask as well as his hat when Dissy sat him down. There were a few scorch marks on the mask, but other than that he seemed miraculously spotless.

Pestilence Pony saw the fireworks falling through the window as she soaked. She can't remember when she felt this content. It was a good day. First she got a taco, then she saw a magic being who seemed vaguely familiar and who granted her a wish, and now she was floating around like an egg in a hot pot of wonderful smelling delight. If only all days could be like this.

Flashgun Was crying into a tissue. "aww man... this is so keen." he raised his camera.... click. Flash. He blew his nose. "This was really -- somethin'."

Plot NPC gave up. "Fine... do what you will with your love. Ugh." Bah humbug. He crossed his forehooves and sat there, a former friendless stalliong now occupised with one too many!

Fluttershi hugs Flash and give him a kiss to the cheek, "...y-yes it...was..." She said as she turned to the Unicorn and pats him on the head as she smiled to him warmly.

Princess Cadence gives Ash and Dissy and look when they return and removes the mask from Ash's face " Asho you are needed to adress the ponies in attendeace here today about love, frindship, and when its Ok to sacirfice and when it is not OK to sacrifice " she sits down so he can move in front of her " And I will be right behind you if you need me "

Discord Draconequus was a little toasty as well. He reached his paw up to lick his foredigits and snuff out the flame on his wing's elbow. he pouted at Flash, shoving him away with his claw on hsi face, ducking his head. He pointed to his cheek. "Me too??" He grinned.. "I did help put up decorations ya'know!"

Flashgun blushed when he was kissed, only to be smooshed away by a spirit of chaos and flopped over. he raises his camera between his hoof. Click, flash. He stood up and shook himself out. He wanted a love fortune! He bounced toward the booth, paying attention as the Princess of the Crystal Empire said the lil foal was doing a speech? He hunkered down at the booth, excited about fortunes.This was totally a country thing! SO unique!

Fluttershi grins and blushes as she leans foreward and gives him a kiss or atleast tried to, before Angel jumped in the middle of it and got kissed instead then he landed on his p[aws and started laughing, before slapping his bunny butt at Discord and pulling down one of his eye lids and stuck out his tongue at him, before turning and hopping away. Flutter blinked and then gave Discord a kiss on the cheek afterwards.

The Smooze was a happy Smooze and gave kisses too! One for Flash one for Flutter one for Nessie, one for Luna and one for Discord!

Princess Luna looked up at the first explosion of a firework, her lips parted in a small 'o' of surprise and awe. Soon more followed and lit up the night sky with an array of colors. It was the perfect end to what she felt would be a perfect festival. Little would she expect that the curse had been lifted in that moment, and she was now her normal, starry maned self. Luna even had her wings back! She flexed them and, once Fluttershy had finished showing the poor unicorn affection, scooped him up in a hug; should he not protest. "A wonderful night!" Luna exclaimed and would thus receive a very strange kiss from the Smooze on her cheek. Gross, but okay!

Discord Draconequus set down the box of carrot cake he had been carrying and pulled Flutter into a hug! He loved hugs better. The king of invading personal space. The spirit had quite a fun time making a mess! He should hold more messy events like this!

Fluttershi squees and hugs back; cheek to cheek. As Angel comes back due to the smell of cake and carrots and crawls in the box as he starts to pig out on the cake and not share with anypony.

Bygone Specter hadn't heard anything about a speech. "U-uh....O-okay?" he'd say as the mask was removed and he turned his attention to the gathered. And then the rug was pulled riiiight out from under him. This was the spotlight, he didn't 'do' the spotlight! At least not yet. "Uuuuuuuh" was the obviously intelligent start as the foal just stood and stared wide-eyed. Yep... springing a speech in onto a poor foal... He stood there for a few moments or two before his ears fell and perked again. "U-uh..." He really wasn't the best to talk about that. He was the first to throw himself under the bus for friends still! "Uh... S-s-sacrifices could be - uh - made... when... it is for a dear friend? Jut keep everypony happy! B-But try not to uh... over-do it? Ponies might be sad if you go t-t-to far." and then his nerve was gone and he was practically melting back behind Cadance. To many; TOO MANY! He didn't know how to deal with this! Two days ago he was but a lowly toymaker and assistant!

Discord Draconequus smiles wickedly as he huggles Fluttershy. "Ooh we can play pranks later! he set her down in his lap, the happy noodle so glad his pranks peetered out into an even, divisions slick of Chaos. He did not very much like kissing bunny butt-- but that cake, from the start, was booby trapps. We knew ye well Angel Bunny... he pet Fluttershy and laughed, manically? he clapped his paw and claw at By--Ash. "Bravisimo! Well said!" he had a fake mustache and top hat with a monocle. "I must say the most honest, unrehearsed speech ever!"

Flashgun turns toward the stage. "aww man, everything's like, soo keen today." He raised hsi camera. CLick. Flash! "Man, you country folk sure know how'ta party." He turned back to face the fortune teller lady.

Yunalesca mostly lounged about in her provided booth, leaning on one elbow as she watched the festivities with an uninterested eye. There was much celebration, a speech by a princess.. and a not so inspiring one from a foal. Poor little guy was nervous; she would have felt the same. Her eyes eventually shifted towards one particular pony, sporting a camera, as he approached her booth. Yuna straightened up at once, gathering her best 'fortune teller' act, and gave him a mysterious smile. "Welcome, my dear!" Yuna purred. "What do you wish to ask Soothsayer this night? It is about love, no doubt, or do you have something much more different to ask me?" She was a reader of futures, not minds.

Princess Cadence stand there and watches Ash as he tries to do a speech..but becomes afraid and hides behind her she gives him a reassuring smile and stands tall talking again " I hope everypony enjoyed there Hearts and Hooves day! " she turns to cuddle Ash " You did great for your first time.. Its on Asho you will get use to it in time and be able to talk to any size of crowd. I am so proud of you " she puts her wings around him and cuddle him closely nuzzling him as she does so.. She then gives him a gift a Heart Balloon I guess you can say made from her own magic for him to play with and feed from it should last a few days max.

Flashgun wiggled excitedly. Oh snap! She sounded real legit! Jsut like the ones in the stories! "Eeey. Am I gunan be promoted? Ya know I always get this vibe my senior editor is yankin' my cahin. Always frontin', but you know I work hard, ain't like I only put out tabloid stuff. Worked on some, real good stories, ya'know? I was kinda hopin'." He prattled off.

Fluttershi giggles at Discord, "...o-oh pranks...? ...well...I-I did...say we could...ye-yes...I...will try some pranks with you..." She agreed as moments later the box broke open and Angel burped as Flutter turned, "...Angel...! ...d-did you eat all of Discords...cake...?...th-that was not very nice..." Angel turned over and ignored Flutter as he waved his paw absentmindely at her.

Discord Draconequus beamed that he was going to gt to play with everypony! But poor poor Angel. He glanced over to Angel than flutter. "You should probably start on your way home before it gets too dark!" he assured. Plus Angel had only a matter of time until the cake took hold. He smiled, eyes pinching up as the spirit coiled up a bit, trying to hold in his frantic laughter, stifled giggles.

Bygone Specter did his best to calm himself down. The pressure was gone, right? He did relax finally when he was hidden in her wings and pulled close. Now... the heart balloon made things all the better though! Little changeling foal in disguise was happy! Food to go! Appeased with the offering he hugged the alicorn and sat back on his haunches again, already nomming subtly on the heart. It was just too tempting to resist!

Yunalesca leaned forward to put both hooves over her trusty crystal ball while the photographer rambled away. Oh thank goodness, it wasn't about love. She hummed, almost a croon as she dropped both forehooves around the ball, one on each side. "How terrible that sounds, but you might be in luck." Yuna replied mysteriously, looking down into her crystal ball. "Such hard work may eventually pay off, to both the surprise of your editor and yourself~. I cannot see the date of your hope, but you will get the promotion you're looking for if you keep up your tireless efforts!"

Princess Cadence smiles at Ash " So are you ready to return to the castle and get some rest? Its been a long day for us both" she states softly.

Gleaming Echo was simply siting off to the side and observing the gathering. He'd never encountered something like this before. It was just so... fascinating! The foals' speech was a little... odd, tough.. seemed scared. Now that somepony had come over to him and Lady Yuna he turned to watch curiously.

Flashgun vibrated with excitement. He threw his hooves into the air. "Yea'!" Well he was a pretty gullible guy when he wasn't behind his camera. The lense of truth told him all! He slowly raised his camera toward the mistress of the future. Click. Flash. "thanks again babe!" He tried to turn and make a dash for it! Because he had so many pictures to develop and out due that face in the second floor departments!! He tripped a bit at first but would try and scamper away!

Fluttershi tilts her head and nuzzled Discord, "...aww, but...it's not that late yet...and I like...hanging here with every pony especially you..." She said as she blinked and looked to Angel, "...yo-you are just trying to get rid of me...s-so...you can d-do...some more...chaos things...I would disapprove of...aren't you...?" She questioned with a sigh and her ears drooped down as Angel suddenly shot up and held his stomach as he dashed off to the bushes.

Discord Draconequus tries not to vibrate with amsuement. His head curls back, making the tight pil e of coils look more akin to a snake than a pony. "Ooooh pleeease my dear. I can caughs cause without your permission!" No he couldn't! He tried though. he hated their disapproving glances. It wasn't as funny for some reason. He looked to Angel. "What's wrong? he didn't like my cake? he seemed to hog it all for himself!" Internal guffawing commence!

Bygone Specter looked up at Cadance and hesitantly nods. "Y-yeah... rest sounds nice." he'd say as he munched on the heart's magic....

Princess Cadence nods softly " Thank you all but I think it is time for me and Ash to get back to the castle.. It has been a long day and my hooves are starting to swell " it was the truth the exspecting mares hooves where bigger then normal.

Yunalesca smiled amiably enough when the pony showed obvious excitement at her little fortune. If one really thought about it, it wasn't much of a fortune. It was just one of those things that might happen in their own, good time and as she said, if he kept working hard at it. "But of course." Yuna replied, and saw the camera lifted. She did her best to remain in her little pose, hooves on her crystal ball, until the fool had had his picture and scampered off. No big deal. Yuna relaxed and dropped her smile once he had run off, glancing over towards Gleam with raised eyebrows.

Plot NPC pushed to stand and moved over to the booth of fortune telling. He was not going to easily beleive it, but he wondered just how powerful this maiden was. He sat down, a glair of ominous disdain on his features. Heh ad dark bags under his eys. Sharp ruby eyes stared, unfocused fro mbeneath seaweed colored tresses. He set down three bits. "Maiden."

Fluttershi snuggles Discord, "...w-well then tomorrow...let's go on a adventure...with the others...and do these chaos pranks of yours..." She said, before giving his snout a kiss apon it and then going up to Flash and giving him a soft nuzzle and lick, "...i-it...was nice meeting you...." She said and then turned to every pony else and waved, "...I-I am off...go-good night everypony..." She said as she ran through the bushed and up the road to her cottage as she looked for Angel whom seemed to of headed that way.

Gleaming Echo wouldn't have been able to help but let out a quiet snort. Poor soul... He seemed really gullable and excitable though. He'd need to reign himself in...He saw Yuna turn to look at him and grinned some in return, bowing his head. "Wonderful, Lady Yuna. It is nice to finally get to see you at work." he smiled, still acting his part as guard!

Discord Draconequus should probably turn Flash into a candle or something.... He felt a strnage pang of annoyance with the brat. He scratched his chin. Yes-- overwhelming destruction. "Good night FLutter, an adventure sounds grand." Yup destruction. It's the same as jealosuy right? Destory what you are jealous oh-- wait no he got in trouble last time for that. Plan B. Honey traps.

Bygone Specter wouldn't have been able to help but frown as he hopped after the alicorn. "You shouldn't have been up for so long, Candyyyy!" he'd chide with a bit of a frown. His adopted mother needed to take care of herself more!

Princess Cadence smiles. "Yes well Discord asked me to speak and as the Princess of Love and as the holiday was about love I was obligated to do so.. It is something you will have to learn later to understand.. " as they arrive to the castle she sends Ash off to do his nightly route and lays down to wait for him to return..

Yunalesca couldn't help but smile genuinely at Gleam's praise, chuckling lightly as she turned towards the next fool to approach her booth. No, perhaps fool wasn't the right word. This stallion didn't look like one, but he did look like quite a grumpy pony. After seeing what happened today, she had to sympathise a little. Yuna kept her smile up as she greeted him the same as the last. "Welcome! How can the lady Soothsayer help you?" Yuna said, leaning her chin forward on one bent wrist; he'd called her maiden, hoho. "Ask away, anything your heart desires to know."

Discord Draconequus was getting comfortable on the cushions. Would never admit to having any helping paw in the event beyond sticking heart stickers everywhere and googly eyes on everything. He curled up on the cushions and would likely stay here for the night. The spirit did well to sleep where he dropped. The chilly weather did not bother a monster of fur and scales. he had his scarf and cap as well. The egg was beneath him as he was curled so it was fully protected from the weather. He was a sate spirit of disharmony. There was plenty to leave him calm and balanced in his existence for the time being.

Bygone Specter finishes up his stuff and then hops up and curls up. Thus the little changeling is done for the night!

Plot NPC settled his hoof at his haunches and looked to the crystal orb. He snorted, nostrils flaring a bit His tongue dipped out over his lips before tucking away. "Is my deepest desire to be reached? Can I face the object of my longing and hold it?" He had many desires but this had been one since his youth.

Princess Cadence lays a wing over him and pulls up the blanket closing her eyes to sleep also it was a good day a long one but a good one and ash seemed to have fun and that was all that mattered to her.

Yunalesca leaned forward a little bit, interest visible on her face as he asked his question. It was.. unfortunately a little too vague for her to really do much with it. She'd had tough customers before, so she'd try her best to mask this. The fortune teller dropped her hoof to her crystal ball, idly stroking it- she'd seen the look he'd given it. He probably didn't think much of this profession. "It all depends on what exactly your deepest desire is, my dear. Only when you know what you truly want could it be.. in reach." Yuna answered as vaguely as he'd asked her. "I cannot read your heart, I fear, only what your future holds.. Do you know what you desire most? For I can look into your future and see if such a thing may come true.."

Plot NPC thought a moment. "I desire change." He expressed, claret eyes turning to her with his sharp, now focused gaze. "I want to have the power to change the world instead of at the bottom of a barrel, scraping by for bits."

Yunalesca met his red gaze with her own, dark magenta one. His answer was an interesting one, a feeling she felt much more genuinely than just a fake expression put on for show. "Your suffering is plain, I have been witness to that this day as you stand up in front of a crowd. Forced to do things you do not want. All for a few bits." Sympathy laced her low voice as she turned her eyes down onto her glittering crystal ball. Her hoof was set to the side of it to unblock her view and after a moment she frowned. "How strange, I fear it is uncertain for my view is.. hazy, vague, shadowed by dark overhanging clouds. Hmm."

Plot NPC should have figured. Hack. He pushed to stand. "Well, keep the bits. I guess I should retire. Friendship is exhausting." He pushed to his hooves and bowed his head. "well... I will continue to not know my path. I shall make it then." Maybe he was hoping for a shortcut.

Yunalesca looked up from her crystal ball to pout at her recent customer. She had pegged him for a difficult pony, and she'd been right. Too bad. "I am so sorry I couldn't help you. The best I can offer is a little hope that you can reach your goals, and escape the dark pit you're stuck in." Yuna purred and sighed, so casually placing a hoof down on the bits he'd placed on the counter. "Until next time, my dear!" Once he was gone, it was probably time for her to retreat to her cart with what few bits she'd made that night. No doubt tomorrow would be more fortunate, once everypony wasn't so distracted with heart-laden festivities.
