Queen Chrysalis trots into the castle. She was in her changeling form. Luna seemed to like it better when she did not hide her form on the grounds. Something about not being shifty. The queen landed at the door and trotted in. Being stopped by a guard. "Well its lovely to see life in here. Most days I enter with nopony around." she chirped in a cheery tone. "I am here for a meeting with Princess Luna." she said softly.
Plot NPC stood outside the library doors, guarding. The armored pony was of the Night Guard, seeing as the evening was quickly raising from the fading day. Armor of magical, enchanted metal, he stood with his wings tucked at his side, a rather light pony for the Night Guard, but he served his purpose. An intimidating stare and large size suited him to his duty. He blinked his golden eyes and looked toward the Changeling Queen without flinching. Regardless of any problems he may have with such things, tis the business of the princesses. "Good day." He offered. "I am sorry, do you have an appointment today? I do not believe the princess is holding court today." He expressed flatly.
Princess Luna felt.. far too tired to put up with much of the Night Court. She would deal with the paperwork another time when she had a little more focus. After the fun she had had at the old castle, she felt she could be allowed some time to rest, and though she would never admit it aloud, to be lazy. A place she felt the best retreat to be was the library.. but she couldn't resist bringing the tablet. It was a matter she still meant to get to, and she wanted to translate the last of it.. but she could probably speak with Agate just to give her the map. Yes, she could probably do that, just so the poor mare wasn't waiting too long. Thus she was relaxing in the library, surrounded by a few books on old languages, distracted.
Discord Draconequus loved distractions, in fact he was the ultimate distraction. The spirit most un-stealthily manifested himself above the princess. The library was always a fun place to hide away. Ruby had been fed, bathed so left in Chaosville with the Cockatrice Gang. Hopefully they wouldn't have too much trouble sine she was going to spend the nigh in her pool. He rolled around before dropping himself down, atop the princess. The draconequus made sure to knock a few of the piles down as he invaded the princess' space, laying his head upon her side and coiling himself in the most obnoxious manner. His body coiled in front of her, hindquarters resting behind her and his red tail sweeping over her flank as he lulled his head back in his usual dramatic. He let out a deep sigh. "Oh Lulu, it's
soooo boring today." As if she wasn't, clearly making an effort to do something aside from facedesk in court.
Queen Chrysalis looks at the Guard who was not shocked to see her. "I come and go. Being the Queen of a whole race I stay busy. However this is something I really need to talk to Luna about." this was not the day to day chatter she was sending in letters to the Princess no this was darker. "It's is about mistreatment of my kind. I think she may allow a meeting for this." she stated. "Remember I am a changeling. I did not have to come to you in this form. I could have just as easy took another's form and fooled you." The Queen had a point.
Plot NPC stared. He was quiet for several moments. "Whatever you converseve, in private, with the princesses, is not something I would know. But, this day, the princess has not told us of any duties she must tend to." Whatever form she took, or did not -- this was his job. Short of the voice of the princesses he was not to act. "If you wish for me to send her word you have arrived, I shall." As guards were -- duty duty. This one did not seem to slack in his!
Princess Luna had some trouble focusing on the words before her for very long, when her body told her to go sleep. It would not be a fruitful visit to the library- if she could not translate the last part of the tablet when fully awake, she couldn't do it tired. Her head jerked around when one of her little book piles tumbled, but lo and behold it was Discord. She felt his weight settled around her and she gave his now visible face a raised eyebrow. "Is it now? I could not tell. Perhaps you could help me with this last translation? I am quite worn, but it may not matter in the long run."
Discord Draconequus made a face. "Ew, work? At this hour? Princess you must stick yourself in more productive positions~" He mused. What was -- unproductive about translating ancient text? Aside from everything, the draconequus felt, there was something fishy amongst them. He wasn't one to ignore that wormy feeling in the back of his heel. Or was it the front of his hoof? Well, no matter.His lips pursed before giving a snort. "If you continue allowing yourself to become absorbed in these books, you'll be sucked in~" He keenly referenced another event. His lips curled back in a mischievous grin as he rolled his upper half to the side a bit so some of his back was to Luna, his wings tucked tight. "I am sure you can find something decidedly more amusing to do this evening." He bothered her so because he had naught else to do. He has not caused much, if any trouble since the sickness was washed away. But that took him two alicorn and half a unicorn to fix!
Discord Draconequus yawned tiredly as he allowed his paw to rest against the floor, his eagle's claw to flop over it. "You could perhaps life an adventure rather than read it in a book." He suggested, laying his cheek on her leg as he stared off to the mass towers of books. He was not much of a reader, unless he wished to be nosy and intrude on other ponies and their business. He was quiet a moment. His tail was slung over her hip, the tuft motioning as if it were another hand, questioning in its motion. "Is that what you were just now?" He returned to the original subject at his leisure. "Still fretting over that translation?"
Queen Chrysalis sighs softly and nods. "Yes please let her know I am here. I am sure she will allow me in to talk." she changeling queen sat down where she was and buzzed her wings in annoyance.. Now she knew how others feel when they visit her hive or castle.. wait no pony ever visited Olympia or the hive so she was able to fix this there before it started.
Plot NPC was a guard proud of his duty! "Pardon me. Please wait here." He eyed the others on duty in the case she were to -- just turn. Who knew with bugs! He turned to enter the library, doors closing behind him. IN his wing he carried his spear and stood to tap it lightly against the ground to alert her highness of his approach. "Princess Luna..." He spotted the serpent abound the princess. Holding his tongue he continued. "Your majesty: the -- queen, of the Changelings has come requesting to speak to you."
Princess Luna snorted at the draconequus, amusement tinging her face. "A certain spirit of chaos kept me up during the day when I should have been sleeping. 'Twas a fun day indeed, and I do not regret it in the least, but I have little energy to do much this night. Perusing books seemed the best option to keep me occupied.. and this translation may not be important, but I am quite curious as to what it says." Luna answered once Discord had said everything he had to say. She put the book down that she had been looking through, her concentration on it gone and snagged by something else. Luna turned her gaze to the guard who entered, and she was curious. "Queen Chrysalis? Ah, send her in then." Speaking to the changeling would take little effort on her part.
Discord Draconequus offered a cheeky grin at the accusation. "What? Moi?" He raised his head a bit, snickering. He had quite a fun time even though he was bamboozled and dropped into holes and off high spots. He would not be quick to visit that place again, however amusing it was. Being unable to levitate was plain exhausting on the chaos mage. It could explain why he simply lay and complain rather than tousling about in short jumps. He did not refuse to move, for there was no protest, so he did not do what he had no need to. But even were it a requirement he'd probably further resist it! Giving a shrug he settled his head against her side and yawned. "Well I suppose curiosity is a fine way to kill time and be lazy~" He teased. "To think the princess of the moon -- lazy." He spoke as if it were taboo! Oh, taboo it may be, but unheard of perhaps. The library's doors opened. He had half a mind to slam it closed...
Discord Draconequus did have but half a mind this eve. Even he was a bit worn from the escapades, though you'd never believe it with the amount of tomfoolery floundering about his presence. His tail's tuft flicked, turning the guard's spear into a snake and his helmet into a bird's nest, complete with an owl. He gave a smirk, glancing to Luna as if seeking praise. The Guard has had enough of him already. "Oooh~ I wonder what Queenie wants~" He hadn't seen her since his hunt for Ruby's egg. Go figure. But he wasn't the best at keeping up with others. Chaos gods were very busy with reverse spring cleaning and foalsitting dragons once meant for the upheaval of Equestrian society. How lazy one could get in the face of spring weather~. The Guard -- would sigh and turn to let the Queen know she was to enter. He still had the nest helm, and snake spear. He had to keep his dignity, somehow!
Queen Chrysalis waits the the Guard to return.But blinks and busts out laughing when he does pointing a hoof at his head. "There's a nest on your head." she screaked. Being told she was able to enter the Queen walked in still laughing until she was in the doors she managed to take it down to a giggle as she walked up to Luna and gave her a bow. "Lovely to," giggles, "see you," giggles, "again Princess." she said still giggling until she spotted discord. "Oh and the snake is here too." she looked at him. "I am not at all happy with the things you where teaching Jester." she stated...
Princess Luna pursed her lips a little at Discord. She wouldn't admit to being lazy. "I am still doing something required of me." She sniffed, focusing back upon the guard- who was trying to appear unfazed, despite the nest and the snake. The princess had to hide a smile once Queen Chrysalis entered shortly after- her giggles ended up bringing it back, but she fought it. "Greetings, Queen Chrysalis. A pleasure to see you again, too. What brings you all the way to Canterlot?" Luna wasn't sure what else she was talking about, but more Discord shenanigans.
Discord Draconequus was quite pleased with his handy work. His ears flicked up hearing the laughter from his spot. Excellent... Chaos certainly was entertaining in its own right. The smug draconequus grinned when Luna tried to stifle her amusement. "Ooh~ so grumpy Queenie when you steal my laughter~" He hazed. He turned up his nose, not bothering to fought the venomous grin belonging to a snake. "Oh, what did I teach your little fool~?" He purred. "How to make explosives ... or how to enchant toys?" He gave a shrug. "I've no control over what ponies do." He shrugged his paw and claw a bit. "I can only incite chaos that already beckoned them~" He closed his eyes and remained with his body entrapping the princess. Were she to attempt to move his coils would tighten 'accidentally'. "Well, Lulu, it is springtime. Bugs are all about spreading their pollen~" Discord, no. Rude.
Queen Chrysalis nods to Luna and moves to lay with them. "Well there are a few matters. First there was only one but after last night there are two. Oh yes and I most let you know I used your form last night at the tes shop. But it was for good reason." she had to be sure she told Luna that first she did not want her to think she was hiding it from her in any way at all.
Princess Luna cast a curious look at Discord. He was the one who had shown Ash how to make explosives, or rather, encouraged him? Shame on him. Her gaze was quickly back upon the changeling queen with sharp focus, intrigued in the news that she had to bring her. "Is that so? Please do tell me all of it. I would like to hear." Luna was by no means angry that her face had been used, nor remotely irritated. If Chrysalis said it was for good reason, she would exercise trust that it was, so long as they remained allies.
Discord Draconequus would have never don-- okay so he encouraged use. The spirit offered a rather sly smirk. Discord was always up to something, but what could it possibly be this time? He gave a snort. He knew something was strange, but that many cups of coffee really knocked him out of a loop. He bumped the top of his muzzle under Luna's chin, space invading cretin. "Oh, impersonating princesses? Queenie, mind your hobbies~ impersonating young mares~." He leaned back, ears folding as his eyes turned to peer toward the Changeling Queen. He really had no great problem with them. Their hives got wrecked up once in a while by trouble and other chaotic tendencies so it kept the spirit sate. Too much order made him quite nosy. His tail's tuft acted like another paw and turned the pages of one of the books on the ground, knocked from the little tower Luna had created and he had destroyed, verily!
Discord Draconequus was quite pleased with himself, but also seemed genuinely lazy. So wasn't causing much of a ruckus, unless he were to be provoked. He tucked his paw against his body, as well as his claw, his feathers bristling a bit as he settled. He wasn't going to move, lest miss the latest gossip~ Not like they could get him to move anyway. He did as he pleased.
Queen Chrysalis nods softly. "Lets see I think the first needs to be the matter at hoof." she sighs. "The Rage hive has returned to the hivemind. They are outraged. Its a normal state for the hive but this is a lot worst than normal." she sighs. "I spoke to there Queen trying to talk them into changing their ways. But they refuse. Talking that ponies deserve it and no pony is to be trusted. Something about eggs being stolen from hives, Changelings being used a pets or to guard homes, and even for status to show ponies are rich." she shakes her head. "It disheartens me. I sent my head guard to talk to the Queen to find out what is wrong and came to talk to you about this also.. " she sighed.
Princess Luna's face had settled into a neutral expression, the smile fading away as she intently listened to the changeling queen talk. But not so intently she didn't feel Discord bumping up against her chin from below. She lowered her head a little towards him, frowning at the news she was given. "A new hive, and one of anger. It does not sound good, nor does the theft of changeling eggs. I perhaps should have seen this, after what Ash has told me of his own beginnings. If one unicorn can get his hooves on eggs, it means many more can too." Luna considered a way she could handle this, lips pinched together. "I would not yet know how to handle this rival hive, but for changeling ownership.. I may have to write a law that makes it illegal to own them. If we are to be allies, it is only just that I ensure changelings are treated with the same status as a pony."
Discord Draconequus listened carefully. An annoyed snort escaped is muzzle. "Ponies like that never learn until the they are bitten by the ones they think they feed." He was amused by the thought. Now he seemed to simply speak upon his affection for Ashy, and on a certain level it was the case, but the spirit also has quite a disgust towards Unicorn who think they could do whatever it is they pleased. Not that he despised the group as a whole, but he had a general pet peeve towards their arr--- He scratched his beard feeling as if there was irony in his thoughts, but impossible! He was all powerful, unlike they! Why he could split reality in wain and sew it back together in an afternoon, were he to remember where he put the other half anyway. That reminded him he had a few universe to repair after he fractured them. But he supposed later -- or something. He probably already did it later and hasn't reminded himself today.
Discord Draconequus had strange things go through his head between the silence. Something had to fill it, why not time?! Hahah! "You know such a thing will not serve purpose." He protested towards the idea of a law. "Laws take time to discuss, write, present, pass." he spat out his tongue in disgust at the overbearing process. "It won't change the view ponies have of somepony else not like them" he glanced toward his claw before settling it back on his stomach. "If you aren't willing to just terrorize ponies into your way of thinking, you need to present an infallible argument that they can't ignore." he shrugged. "Changelings make terrible maids~! But make great foalsitters!" He chuckled and closed his eyes. "How is it that it goes? Once a healer, always a healer? You can proceed to change the law, but ponies will continue with their mindset. It's how anarchy starts." Oh~ and it delighted him. Though -- he did not want anymore like Bygone around... once was enough.
Queen Chrysalis nods softly to Luna's idea. "A law may help." she heard Discord also. "But I have to agree with him. As much as in pains me to do so. I walked town last night in my form only to have whispers and ill things said at me. Shop owners even locked there shops when I tried to enter. Calling me a bug and saying my kind needs to be exterminated. One even joke with another about it there was a bug swatter be enough to kill me with." she sighs. "As for the Rage hive. I sent Shadeling to talk to them. He was a part of there hive and ran off. I am hoping he can get though to the Queen. " she moves to removes 5 large bags of candy from her bag "Each bag holds 200 candies." she places the bags of dark red candy in front of Luna. "The Rage hives color is deep red. There shells are deep red whereas mine is green. and when they take over a pony there eyes glow the same red in color." she sighs. "If a pony is found in this state feed them a candy and detain them for 24 hours. This will remove the enchantment from the pony. I hope to get though to them but if I do not and a fight happens my Hive and others who follow the new way will fight on the side of the ponies." she waits for a response before moving to the nest order of the visit.
Princess Luna may have jumped ahead, but a law would be the perfect first start to sweeping away prejudices. "This is very true." The princess sighed with an unenthusiastic nod, her nose wrinkling at how badly her ponies treated Chrysalis. Unbecoming! "We will have to figure out how to get through to our citizens. Perhaps with positive views on changelings, as Discord said, make our peace talks known.. They might even be swayed should they see Celestia and myself on friendly terms with Queen Chrysalis. I know how some nobles are quick to follow." Luna's gaze refocused back on Chrysalis, taking note of the bags. "I do hope your Shadeling can get through to this other hive to keep the peace, and I appreciate your help. I will keep these candies, and that, in mind. Let us hope it does not come to fighting."
Discord Draconequus seemed dead focused on a thought. "Where would one get a big enough fly swatter?" He broke out laughing. He couldn't help it! The thought of manifesting one big enough was certainly something he was capable of, but he had never thought of it! "My, some of these ponies are quite clever in the ways of chaos~ I am impressed." His laughter died down as he brushed a tear from his eye with his paw. "My, you certainly keep yourself busy these days Queenie. I suppose with no failing plans of conquest you are bored~" His paw shifted before he flicked his digits and tossed one of the red candies in his muzzle. He -- likely did not learn from last time. He twitched at the flavor but popped it into his cheek pouch. "By the sounds of it, fightin's all they know how to do." Snide comments aside he did not care one way or another if Changelings fought, or ponies and Changelings fought. What did matter was that the little foals didn't get in the middle of adult stupidity.
Queen Chrysalis nods to Luna. "Yes I do hope he gets them to understand and as to telling the ponies for the talks that is for when you are ready. If I need to make appearances with you and Celestia that is something I am willing to do also." she goes to stop discord from eating the candy but is unable to get it out of his muzzle. "Be mindful of eating it if not infected. I still am unsure of the affect of unaffected ponies. I few snow ponies allowed me to take them over to test this.It was not something I was happy with doing but a counter needed to be taken. I myself find rage too spicy." she said. "Now for the other issue. I went to the tea shop last night. It was the only place that let me in to be truthful. And when I went up the steps to sit I seen a Unicorn and large dark pegasi there. Both gave me a bad feeling. They were not happy I was there and started to be rude so I stood up for myself to them. I was there looking for a changeling with a thin link to the hive mind he seems to have something wrong with his speech. He freaked out and fell down the steps the cop took him to the healers. But this male unicorn he has flames as his magic aura and gave a large bag of coins to the other. When I came in the stopped talking and wanted to finish some where more private. After being goaded for being there I decided to have some fun so I told them I could be anypony anywhere at anytime. And changed forms first to you and that got a gasp and feeling of lust from the unicorn then to Celestia then to Cadence. In the end the peg left and I changed to you and flirted with the unicorn. Finding out his name is Moonriser and he really wants to met you in person. I am trying to get his trust to find out what he is up to and so I am asking you meet with him for me." she tilted her head and wait for a response.
Princess Luna moved a foreleg up from underneath her to toss it over the draconequus while he cackled away. She could.. understand why he found it funny, unfortunately, though she wasn't particularly amused. The matters of allies she took seriously, especially when dealing with a former enemy. "Indeed. We can only bide our time and make plans for dealing with this new problem." Luna fell silent to allow the Queen to speak, detailing her visit to a tea shop as of last night, and shady figures. Her brow furrowed. "It sounds.. odd." Admittedly Luna was no longer a stranger to mortals holding such.. feelings for her, nor crushes, after dealing with two certain mares in the past. It still came as a surprise to her, but nonetheless. "I hope some help may come to this injured changeling of yours, and as for this 'Moonriser,'" An.. odd name, that, "I could look into it to see if there are any shady dealings ahoof. Without court to hold today, I have the time and the patience."
Discord Draconequus glanced towards Luna when she moved, shifting a bit as if to be ready were she to attempt to escape! But who knew what was going though his mind right now. Oft was there a muddled mix of this that, who's it and what's it! The draconequus shifted his gaze as he ate the candy. Not bitter like the other, at least. Really sharp. He didn't have as bad a reaction as he did before because he was expecting it so blocked off the ill effects of suddenly coming in contact with hivemind. Nope he was good this time. Slurrrping it up he snickered at the hive queen's words. "My, my, Lulu just has soooo many admirers~" He turned his head, snickering into his paw. "I'm sure you are the star of Moonriser's eye... ahahaha!" Oh Faust he couldn't take the though. "Well I'd wish you'd have the same patience with me~" He teased leaning his muzzle close to hers as he leaned back to laugh again. He'll be in stitches if he thinks of that name again. So lame.
Queen Chrysalis nods softly to her. "I will send him a letter now to come and meet. Thank you Luna if I can get his trust maybe I can find out what he is up to." she Queen gave a smile as a pen and paper were lifted from her bag she wrote. "
Moon its Queen Chrysalis.. I have spoke to Princess Luna and she has agreed to meet you.. We are in the library of Canterlot castle.. Just tell the guard with the nest on his head your name and he will lead you in.. see you soon.." With that the letter rolled up and disappeared off to find the stallion. "I really hope this goes well. There is just something about him that worries me." she said to Luna.
Princess Luna was a little troubled by this too. She knew there must be quite a few ponies out there with names involving moons and stars, of night themes.. And Chrysalis found one specific pony to be concerned with. The moonbringer was broken from her musings by the draconequus's teasing laughter. "Ha ha." Luna repeated with some sarcasm. "It appears I do." She sighed through her nose, watching Chrysalis scribble up a letter and sent it on its way. "We shall see."
Discord Draconequus moved his claw to attempt and pinch her cheek. "Oh don't be sarcastic princess, it's unbecoming." He raised his claw up deviously. Pinky always up~ He shifted his weight so his paw rest back on the ground with his claw tucked over it. His head settled back against her side, being careful with his horns. He seemed practiced enough that he tucked his head away and raised it to keep the crooked forms from snagging. "Besides, Nightmare Moon is the most precious title of mayhem~ I'm sure wit ha soft, flowery name like Moonbringer, they can do no more than blow bubbles in chocolate milk." Though one need be wary. As much as Discord teased someone who had a celestial name oft caused the most trouble. And he did love his trouble. Settling himself once more the spirit yawned and glanced toward Luna, staring a moment. "Yes, quite, you are the better moon." He assured, drifting between his thoughts as usual.
Moonriser had enough time, just a day, but enough time to smooth down his ruffled emotions by focusing himself on other tasks after he finally awoke. Biding his time, considering what to say or do, checking on a few things, writing a letter to his new hire for the next they could meet.. but he didn't send it yet. He had been lounging at his desk when a letter came to him, and he sat up with a start. It confirmed exactly what he thought it was. Moon snatched it up on his way out and made his way to the castle, but once he was inside, the closer he grew to the Archives the more trepidation he began to feel. He had come so far, he couldn't go back now! He kept the letter to shoo away any of the guards and went straight for the Archives. If he was able, he could stride right in.. It was this or nothing.
Queen Chrysalis nods to Luna as they await the unicorn showing up. She knew he had to be close she she gave Luna and wink and started to talk him up. Hoping Luna knew what the wink meant at least. "Yes he is very cute and he is a noble unicorn to boot." she smiles. "You can never go wrong with a noble with your status." she smiled looking to Discord and whispered. "Try to play nice."
Princess Luna could be sarcastic if she wanted to! Her snout wrinkled at the cheek pinching and she pulled away a little, but settled back once she had been released. She could say nothing, with little knowledge on the situation but what Chrysalis had told her, but his minor praise brought a small smile to the princess's face. It was not helped by Queen Chrysalis, but she took her change in topic as a sign that something had changed. "What?" A look towards the doorway showed her a purple unicorn, some shades lighter than Twilight's more violet hue. "Ah, our guest has arrived. Greetings."
Discord Draconequus shot a glare at the queen of bugs. "I'll play, however I please!" He hissed, slithering his forked tongue out at her. He did not like the way that queenie was putting Luna on some pedestal. That was his job! More over for him to knock it down! The spirit of chaos turned his eyes down to the pony in question. Ooh it was that fellow from last night. Discord's brows furrowed as he put two and two together. He had been talking to Queenie's little illusion with such fervor. The bug empress now harked out in bravado how cute he was and how he was perfect for the princess. The spirit felt irritation tick against the back of his head. He glowered before a soft smile drew itself upon the draconequus' features. P L A Y N I C E -- huh? He'll play nice. "Ah...Lulu, would you mind getting that spot there between my wings? I can't reach it like this~" He complained foalishly. He slowly turned his slitting pupils toward the unicorn.
Discord Draconequus's pupils relaxed, widening to their normal, abnormal, widths. He tightened his hold around the princess ever so slight. "Oh~ is this the guest you were raving about? The one with the small horn, or something?" He mused as he tilted his head displaying his own set of horns, snickering.
Moonriser caught the trailing end of a conversation the moment he entered, though the guard at the door was given a curious look. He was holding a snake and had a nest on his head. It was.. very strange, but now his attention was riveted on the three gathered ponies. Rather a pony, a changeling queen, and a draconequus. Most of all it was her who had his attention. They had been talking about him? He cleared his throat, mentally waving off the fluster, and sank into a bow. Her voice prompted him to straighten back up, where he could more closely look at them. "Yes, hello, it is a pleasure to hold audience with.. you." Discord.. it was Discord was it? seemed to be wrapped around Luna. Touching her, and asking her to.. what? Scratch his back? Wh-.. His normally disgruntled face dropped into a slight scowl as something dawned on him.
That snake, how dare he.. ! He wasn't quite angry, yet, but taken aback and cleared his throat. "Rather rude." Something of the word 'pet' rose to his tongue but he held it back.
Queen Chrysalis looks to moon as Luna sees him enter. "Oh Moon you got my letter I see. So lovely to see you again." she cooed. "Luna this is Moonriser." she introduced. "Oh and that is discord." she said as if it was a after thought as she heard his comment. She then turned and hissed at him. "Be nice don't make me get the spray bottle!" she spat at him. It was clear the snake had no idea how much this meeting could help a lot of ponies
Princess Luna scrutinized their new arrival, but outwardly she was mildly curious. He seemed to be an average noble unicorn, but they had yet to truly speak to him. Discord's request was given something of an odd look, but she made no motion to it. It was just Discord being Discord, after all. Luna ignored the rest, taking it as nothing more, while Chrysalis introduced their guest. This was Moonriser? "We have been told you wished to see me? I take it as nothing pressing, but a chance to speak with me." Luna let the antics of her companions pass her by in the background. If he was dangerous, they could catch more flies with honey.
Discord Draconequus grunted at Chry's charming introduction. He furrowed his brows at Queenie, glowering at her. "Maybe I will manifest that fly swatter..." He mumbled under his breathe and fully rolled so his back was now to Moon. The draconequus' mismatched wings splayed out as he was now properly coiled around the princess. His head would rest on her back as he held displayed the most sour look. His white brows furrowed as his ears pinned back. His forepaw and claw were tucked against his chest, this likely between the princess and himself. He did not approve of this meeting, but Discord approved of little the princess did that was not focused wholly on him. "Pardon my not standing to greet you." He spat. When the pony rumbled about rudeness the spirit snorted. "Yes, yes, how dooo you do~?" He dryly offered the pony. He didn't look all that special! Hardly even cute. His eyes closed, complete stillness on the spirit's part.
Discord Draconequus's lips slowly curled back in a devious grin as Chrysi and Lulu tended to the pony's ego. His tail's tuft, the limb itself still draped over the princess' hindquarters, flexed into a hand. Said tuft would brush itself over Luna's starry tail. But hardly one would think Discord was doing anything. Why to an untrained eye it seemed his tail's tuft was merely twitching, as it did. He brushed his head against Luna's back, brushing her fur as if to find a cool spot; before he settled comfortably, eyes closed. Nope, Discord was behaving, taking a nap~
Moonriser harrumphed softly and offered another bow of his head upon the introductions. "Pleasant to see you again, Queen Chrysalis." He offered up politely, gaze switching between the three. Discord was an unmistakable figure, and slowly becoming a target of his rising ire. "Y-Yes." He cleared his throat, trying not to stumble over his words. It wouldn't do, he was raised to speak properly. "I am quite at a loss of what to say to one of our great diarchs, but to meet you has been a.. pleasure in itself." Moon was very aware of Discord's movements, and how he coiled himself around the princess. It should be him, there! ".. You should know you are well loved by most of your subjects, for the night is.. quite lovely." Every pause in his speech was his notice of Discord's actions, and it was infuriating him. He wasn't an.. well, he
was an angry pony, but he would like to think he could control it. Still, he was quiet, mulling over what else he could say. He couldn't waste her time.
Queen Chrysalis smiles to Moon. Well she did say she was going to get him in here and she did it she hoped no matter the out come of this the stallion would remember that she nodded to him softly. "You too. We need to have tea again sometime. This time I me maybe." she gave a giggle and looks at Luna. "I still do not think I do a good you Luna. I can't talk like you. I have to voice and the look but not the words." she gave a giggle and ignoring the snake in the grass or was it feathers?
Princess Luna had most of her focus upon the unicorn in the room, studious of a perceived troublemaker. His flattery was.. pleasant in a way, but it was just that, flattery. He appeared almost uncertain, but to her she saw his minute pauses in speech as nervousness rather than a result of Discord's doing. "It is appreciated that you think so. I am finding far more visible respect and love for me in recent days. It is comforting." Luna turned to Chrysalis then, smiling faintly. "I would hope not, for it would make it difficult for anypony to tell me from you.. Yet somewhat amusing, too, to have a perfect double." She could see that, despite all of this, neither Queen Chrysalis nor Discord were going to say a word to Moonriser. It was to be her to address the shadier business. "Queen Chrysalis had.. alerted me to you paying a hefty amount of money to a mysterious pony. In a tea shop. Pray tell, why? It doth seem strange, with many strange goings-on in Canterlot as is."
Discord Draconequus barely fought the eyeroll. Luna offered the pony such soothing words. While he was not jealous, he was unsettled, perturbed. Not because of the words offered to him, but because his actions were yet responded to. How the devious snake enjoyed his games. He was not beaten yet. He began to move, slithering himself from his position around the princess. First his forepaw and claw pressed to the ground, followed by his claw. His wings, which spread to help him stand, remained raised as he muscled passed the space between Chrysalis and Luna. He moved slowly, like a lounging cat, or an under-heated serpent. His goal was to walk over the alicorn and drop between the bug queen and her for a more comfortable vantage of the unicorn male. Discord's head lowered as he slithered across, putting his body between the royal figures. His gaze turned to Moon, a dismissive display of his backside.
Discord Draconequus couldn't deal with the boring pony. His head bumped against Luna's, muzzle moving to brush up against the side of hers before he flummoxed down in a spool of muscle, feathers, fur, and scale. His wings finally tucked against him, the overly complicated laydown seemed just the spirit throwing a tantrum at the pony's inability to be rattled. His back was to Chrysalis, one of the few without any reservations when it came to the Queen. With fond names like Queenie and threats of swatting her, certainly there was a casual air there. His head rolled around to rest on Luna's side, the draconequus seemed defeated, bored. But there was a faint smirk on his features. His tail moved to drape over Chrysalis, the spirit's tufted tail moving to attempt and tug at her wings. He did enjoy making her buzz in irritation~ A lazy paw draped over the moon mare's barrel and quietly groused the boring meeting.
Moonriser quietly rumbled, ears twitching back. He had been foolish to have met the hunter in the teashop. It was just too open. It was good that the Changeling Queen never entered as Luna, at least- he would have never been able to tell the difference otherwise. The unicorn opened his mouth to speak, but Discord's movements once again caught his attention. He flustered. Disrespectful worm. ".. I.. something was stolen from me. A family heirloom. I did not like stooping to.." Moon faltered in his quickly concocted lie, seeing the brush of Discord's muzzle against Luna's. His anger had been slow building, but now it felt like a white-hot inferno had erupted in his chest. His face darkened a moment against the turmoil he faced, not helped along by the spirit's casual touches to Luna's body. He was incensed. Furious. Somewhere, something might have exploded- or rather, just some bookshelves randomly flung from their shelves. Moon was almost trembling, but not with discomfort or fear. "I-I don't think I should linger. I would have.. not.. stooped to such a.. pony, if it wasn't important to me. Apologies." Moon bit out, jaw stiff, before he turned and made to leave quickly. Nope. If he stayed, he probably couldn't control himself any longer nor think- not that he could to start with. He needed to get out.
